Report: WWE offers former NWA Women’s champ Kamille an NXT deal

Kamille’s Instagram

Kamille, the 31 year old wrestler who held the NWA Women’s title for more than 800 days from 2021-2023, reportedly became a free agent on New Year’s Day. It didn’t take long for the rumor mill to tell us she was on WWE’s radar, and today (Jan. 5) PWInsider is telling us the company is more than just interested.

That site’s Mike Johnson writes:

WWE sources have confirmed a WWE NXT deal was offered to former NWA Women’s Champion Kamille.

Johnson doesn’t mention if Kamille has accepted or signed a contract to join Shawn Michael’s roster at the Performance Center in Orlando. In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that Kamille is “expected” to end up in NXT, but like Johnson hadn’t confirmed that a deal’s been agreed upon.

If/when she does sign with WWE, Kamille will give the company another impressive prospect. With just 120 matches over seven years on her record (per Cagematch), she can certainly get more polished. But Kamille has a great look — she didn’t used to use the kayfabe surname “Brickhouse” for nothing — and improved quite a bit in the ring and on the microphone over the course of her NWA reign. You have to imagine Triple H & Nick Khan see dollar signs imagining her facing off with recent signee Jade Cargill and others already under to contract to WWE.

Let us know what you think about a potential WWE run for Kamille in the comments below, Cagesiders.
