No, Jinder Mahal didn’t win the world heavyweight championship on Raw

Although it greatly upset the likes of Tony Khan (or at least the lack of publicly negative reaction to it from fans), Jinder Mahal, who hasn’t won a singles match on television dating back to 2022, did indeed get a shot at the world heavyweight championship in the main event of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

He did not win.

Of course he didn’t win.

Seth Rollins has been on one hell of a run as world heavyweight champion, and Mahal getting a rub from working with The Rock a couple weeks ago wasn’t going to bring it to an end.

They did a good job of teasing it with Mahal’s entrance, as he was joined by his Indus Sher stablemates, the beefy musclemen Veer and Sanga. There were a couple of really fun near falls along the way, too:

Damian Priest also made an appearance to tease a Money in the Bank contract cash-in but he was foiled once again by Drew McIntyre and, ultimately, the Stomp was enough to take out Mahal to keep the world title firmly around the waist of the man who walked in with it.
