WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JAN. 12

I would’ve liked you to have been deep frozen too and waiting still as fresh in your flesh for my return to earth, but your father refused to sign the forms to freeze you, and now I have to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with commentary hyping us up.

Grayson Waller makes his entrance and we cut to a video pacakage.

We cut back to Solo Sikoa and “Big” Jim Uso beating Cameron Grimes down in the ramp and leaving him for dead.

Nick Aldis arrives on the scene and surveys the carnage as the Bloodline men get in the ring and send the cowardly heels scampering!

Paul Heyman is with them and he gets on the mic, saying they’re not the bad guys here. Nick Aldis is the bad guy, for putting our Tribal Chief in a four-way match at the Royal Rumble where it’s practically guaranteed that he’ll lose the title. No, the bad guy here is Nick Aldis.

Aldis takes the mic from Heyman and tells him to disabuse himself of the notion that this is a conversation between two equals, because it isn’t. The fatal four-way at the Royal Rumble is a done deal, and the Bloodline keep ruining matches but it will not happen again.

They can’t ruin the main event, because tonight, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Bloodline are IN the main event! For braving the cold, tonight Lincoln gets AJ Styles teaming with LA Knight and Randy Orton against the Bloodline of Solo Sikoa, “Big” Jim Uso, and Roman Reigns.

Paul grabs the mic and says Aldis knows as well as anybody that Roman Reigns isn’t here tonight. Nick makes an exaggerated sigh and says he’s right, Roman has once again started something he doesn’t want to finish, so the Bloodline have until the main event to find a third man, and if not it’ll just be a handicap match.

We get a video package from Santos Escobar about how the weak eat the strong and whatnot and we go to break.

Back from commercial, the Bloodline melt down about their predicament and Paul Heyman says tons of people have been kissing his tuchus looking for a way into the Bloodline, so don’t worry.

Jim Uso tells him he’s worried, and Solo Sikoa informs us he never worries.

Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo vs. Latino World Order (Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde)

Santos Escobar is on commentary for this one.

Brawling to start, Garza left in there with Del Toro, dropkick cuts him off, clubbing blows and chops, Cruz is fired up, shoved off, duck a lariat, duck another one, tijeras connects! LWO pass them to the floor, stereo topes con giro! Back inside, cutting Del Toro off for a tag, arm drags, blind tag from Angel, low bridge sends Cruz crashing to the floor!

They trap him in the ropes for a wicked knee strike and we go to break!

Back from commercial, cousins in control and continuing to work Del Toro over. Back suplex, he lands on his feet, tag to Wilde! Fast-paced back and forth with Garza, cover for two! Passing Angel to the floor, Joaquin goes up top but gets crotched on the top rope!

Carrillo with a sunset flippr olled through into a revolution Liger Bomb... SO CLOSE! Tag to Garza, Poison Frankensteiner connects on Humberto but Angel superkicks Wilde! Cruz takes Carillo out with a tornillo!

Enter Carlito.

He blindsides Escobar from behind and brawls with him around the ring! Garza takes advantage of the chaos...

Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo win by pinfall with a victory roll and a hand on the ropes from Garza on Joaquin Wilde.

Nick Aldis is chatting with Carmelo Hayes in his office.

Aldis is clearly trying to recruit Hayes and he almost asks about entering the Royal Rumble when—

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory roll up and interrupt.

Melo says he’s real sick of Waller and has beat him a lot and is happy to run it back. Grayson begs off but Theory steps up so Aldis makes the match official and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Latino World Order are walking backstage and Paul Heyman jumps out with an apple and says Carlito teaming with the Bloodline would be cool.

Carlito turns him down, saying the only fight he wants is with Santos Escobar, but he’ll take the apple.

We get a hype reel for Kevin Owens punching Logan Paul.

Logan Paul gets a response and says KO’s cast is a liability and he won’t allow him to just stroll into their match holding a weapon and he’ll sue his pants off and cancel the match if he comes to the Royal Rumble with the cast on.

Bianca Belair makes her entrance to send us to break.

Back from commerical, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate meet at coffee shop. BUTCH is grumpy and wishes he could have tag matches without a partner and Bate has mindfulness techniques for him, which makes Dunne just want to call it all off. Tyler tells him this is their chance to show the world what British Strong Style can do and he has to decide what name he’s going to tell the world.

Bayley vs. Bianca Belair

Feeling out, Belair looking for quick covers but unable to put Bayley down! Trading standing switches, waistlock takedown, standing moonsault and a cover for two! Bianca scoops and slams, passing her to the apron, smashing her face into the turnbuckles and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Bayley in control with a top wristlock, Belair out, big spinebuster connects and both women are down! Role Model gets her in the Tree of Woe and blasts her with a knee! Bayley ties her to the bottom rope by her braid... KNEE TREMBLER! But when Bayley goes for a second, Bianca trips her up with her braid!

Smashing Bayley’s face into the apron, bow-and-arrow over the post! Smashing the Role Model’s face into the post, throwing her back inside, slingshot, shoulder blocks in the corner! Mounted punches, back and forth, passing the EST into the turnbuckles!

Charging in, Belair plants her, handspring moonsault... NOPE! Folding press, feet on the ropes but referee Dan Engler catches Bayley and calls the count off! Passing Bianca to the floor, the Role Model fakes a knee injury expecting Damage CTRL to get some cheap shots in but they just stand there!

Back inside, Bianca with a spear...

Bianca Belair wins by pinfall with KOD.

Kevin Owens cuts a promo to respond to Logan Paul, saying if he wants to call the cast an unfair advantage, that’s fine, but they both know it’s just because his hand is broken. It won’t keep him from going to the Royal Rumble, and he wants to talk face-to-face, next week on SmackDown, with Paul as his guest on the Kevin Owens Show.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Bayley confronts Damage CTRL.

Dakota Kai says they didn’t want to risk a disqualification and they expect Bayley to be able to handle her business herself. She awkwardly reassures her and the rest of Damage CTRL take their leave.

Bobby Lashley and Street Profits make their entrance.

Bob gets on the mic and talks about how they walk tall and clench their fists, ready to fight. So if Karrion Kross and his boys want to settle this, they can come down and do it here and now.

The lights go down and Paul Ellering makes his entrance.

He points to the tron and a Karrion Kross video package follows where he names his little group with the Authors of Pain the Final Testament.

Pretty Deadly roll up on Paul Heyman, embracing him and looking for the trios spot but he points out it’s one spot against AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Randy Orton, and they beg off.

We get a Carmelo Hayes hype reel.

Melo makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits roll into Paul Heyman backstage.

Heyman falls over himself to beg Bob to team with the Bloodline, but Lashley says the only Bloodline business he has any interest in is standing opposite of Roman Reigns.

Austin Theory vs. Carmelo Hayes

Feeling out, Hayes rocks him with a dropkick, Fade Away, slingshot DDT on the apron and he’s in control as we go to break!

Back from commercial, drop toehold puts Melo into the turnbuckles and Theory follows it with a dropkick! To the floor, high five to Grayson Waller, Austin directing traffic, trying for a suplex but Hayes hangs in there and slingshots him back into the ring! Big lariat from Carmelo sets up La Mistica... SO CLOSE!

Trading pinning predicaments, back elbow from Theory gets a superkick from Hayes, Codebreaker blocked and we end up in the turnbuckles! Austin hits Lo Mein Pain but bumps noggins with Hayes and referee Ryan Tran calls it...

The match goes to a no-contest.

Backstage, Jim Uso presses Paul Heyman for the name of their partner.

Heyman says he’s interviewed everyone in the locker room but there’s not one man who’s worthy to team with the Bloodline, so it’s over and he has full-faith in the two of them. Jim says he’s worried, Solo says he isn’t, and Uso mockingly changes his tone saying that he’s not worried then.

Randy Orton makes his entrance and Uso and Sikoa cut him off and cut him down, laying him out with the Samoan Spike to send us to break!

AJ Styles, LA Knight, & Randy Orton vs. the Bloodline (“Big” Jim Uso & Solo Sikoa) (Handicap Match)

Styles and Knight bickering, unable to decide who will start the match, and Uso picks for them, blindsiding Knight and hammering him wtih punches in the corner. LA with a big forearm, cover for two, Styles tags in and starts bringing the fight to Big Jim. The Bloodline regroup on the floor and we go to break!

Back from commercial, the Bloodine in control, Solo choking AJ in the ropes and setting up a cheap shot from Jim! AJ throwing elbows in the corner to try and get away, uraken sets up a falling lariat and the path is clear! Uso cut off by a Pele Kick, Styles crawls... JIM SUPERKICKS LA OFF THE APRON AND THEN WE GET BOTH MEN DOWN AND OUT WITH A DOUBLE CROSSBODY!

RANDY ORTON IS BACK AND HE GETS THE TAG! Lariats and elbows, snap scoop powerslam connects, RKO blocked, superkick...

AJ Styles, LA Knight, & Randy Orton win by pinfall with the RKO from Orton on “Big” Jim Uso.

Post-match, Solo Sikoa goes to attack Randy Orton again but Styles takes him out with a Phenomenal Forearm and Knight adds the BFT to his woes! An RKO too, why not! Out to the floor, hammering right hands on Uso, referee Jessika Carr on-hand but Orton smashes Jim with the steel steps and LA throws him out like the garbage!

They get Solo up... TRIPLE POWERBOMB THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE DESK!

The babyfaces stand tall.

That’s the show, folks.
