One of the NXT tournaments Cody Rhodes announced finally starts next week

WWE.com

Back in October on “the biggest NXT of all-time” (aka the one they loaded up since it was airing opposite AEW Dynamite), Cody Rhodes was on hand to make some announcements.

One of those was that the Men’s Breakout Tournament would be returning for the first time since 2021. Rhodes said it would follow this year’s Women’s Breakout Tournament, and that was won by Lola Vice back at Halloween Havoc. So it took more than a month, but last night (Dec. 5) NXT revealed that the men’s version will start next Tuesday.

The video they broke the news with also lists the eight men in the field: Riley Osborne, Keanu Carver, Tavion Heights, Dion Lennox, Luca Crusifino, Myles Borne, Trey Bearhill, and Oba Femi. Only Carver and Lennox will be making their television debuts. The others have all wrestled on either NXT or Level Up.

We don’t have a bracket yet, or an indication which match or matches will take place on the Dec. 12 episode. But feel free to make your predictions in the comments anyway. Or let us know when you think the other tourney The American Nightmare told us about — the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic — will start.
