Chelsea Green’s worst made the cut for WWE’s Absolute Best of 2023

WWE didn’t air a live episode of Raw last night (Dec. 25), instead opting to bring us a Jackie Redmond & Peter Rosenberg-hosted “Absolute Best of 2023” show which featured highlights & clips from the past year.

There was new material on the pre-taped show, like interviews with stars like Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch, and a promo from Rhea Ripley — much of which was done to promote next Monday’s big “Day 1” edition of Raw.

But that wasn’t the only way WWE tipped their hand about plans for the new year. The red brand’s General Manager Adam Pearce also put together a video package of “lowlights” from his frequent nemesis, former WWE Women’s Tag champ Chelsea Green...

Some of this was to remind us that Green & Piper Niven dropped the belts to Kayden Carter & Katana Chance last Monday. But it seems noteworthy that WWE made room for a secondary titleholder on their “Best of” show.

Chelsea made the most of every second she was on the screen last year... and as the clip reminds us, often made her way onto the screens of our non-television devices with her social media work. Her “Karen” character wasn’t a revelation to folks familiar with past in TNA/Impact or on NXT, but whether you were being reminded of her comedic chops or discovering them for the first time — not many of us were complaining to management when WWE served us more Green.

Is this a sign she’s in line for a bigger role in 2024? Could Chelsea get a WWE Women’s or Women’s World championship program next year?

You don’t need to write a Yelp review to let us know what you think. Just use the comments below. And on your way down there, check out our playlist of what WWE’s shared from the “Absolute Best of 2023” episode of Raw:
