It was an entire month ago that we were getting reports of Santos Escobar getting some backup for his feud with the LWO after he split off thanks to issues with Rey Mysterio. Then, nothing happened.
Instead, he was entered into the United States Title Tournament and has been gradually making his way to a shot at Logan Paul at Royal Rumble all by his lonesome. That was until this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Up against Bobby Lashley, who had The Street Profits ringside, Escobar got a big assist from the two men who were rumored to be joining him a month ago — Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo from NXT.
Escobar is already calling them the new LWO:

WWE is loaded with factions already, so this trio is going to have to work hard to separate itself from the rest. But it’s a good way to get even more talented wrestlers on the television a lot more often, so we certainly aren’t complaining.
