Bayley declares for the Women’s Royal Rumble as part of Damage CTRL’s plan to take over WWE

The Kabuki Warriors win over Mia “Michin” Yim & Zelina Vega on SmackDown last night (Dec. 15) was just part of much bigger plans for Damage CTRL, the faction Asuka & Kairi Sane are a part of.

How do we know? Because their teammate Bayley broke it all down for us in a promo before the match. With IYO SKY already holding the WWE Women’s championship, Asuka & Sane are going after the Women’s Tag belts, and Bayley will enter the Royal Rumble to get a shot at SKY’s Raw counterpart, WWE Women’s World champ Rhea Ripley.

“Because now is the time for Damage CTRL to hold all the gold. And that starts with the most dangerous tag team in the division, The Kabuki Warriors, winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. And me entering the 2024 Royal Rumble, winning, and taking Rhea Ripley’s championship. And finally my dream will become a reality.”

Before talking about her dream, Bayley talks about her goals when she created Damage CTRL. It’s the kind of talk that’s had fans expecting IYO to turn on Bayley for months now. But it hasn’t happened yet, so who are to doubt their ability to execute this plans?

We’ll see how it goes. The four healthy members of Damage CTRL will take on Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, Mia “Michin” Yim & Shotzi next week on SmackDown. Bayley is the first person to declare for the Women’s Rumble match next month. Cody Rhodes & CM Punk are the only two announced entrants for the men’s Rumble.
