The events of Deadline didn’t have much impact on NXT’s numbers

The ratings and viewership data are in for the Dec. 12 edition of WWE NXT.

According to Wrestlenomics, coming out of last Saturday’s Deadline premium live event NXT’s total viewership was 678,000 and it did a 0.18 rating among 18-49 year olds. The overall audience number is up a bit from the previous Tuesday’s go home show, while the demo is down a tick.

Competition primarily came from the NBA, where the game airing opposite NXT on TNT — Dallas vs. the LA Lakers — was watched by 1.5 million and did a .52 in the demo, per SportsMediaWatch. But in general, this is just where NXT is right now. They’re solid numbers (fourth best among sports-related programming last night), and slightly ahead of the same week in 2022.

Next week will be pre-taped for the week before Christmas, so how that affects the numbers. In the meantime, here’s a rundown of NXT’s audience and ratings share of the 18-49 demographic over the past year:
