While he was making his way around backstage during Monday Night Raw this week, CM Punk bumped into Drew McIntyre as he was leaving Adam Pearce’s office. A brief chat ensued in which McIntyre revealed he cares not for Punk finishing his story because he’s got a story of his own to finish.
Now we know when he’ll get the chance to do just that:

Indeed, Pearce informed Punk that he had just informed McIntyre that he will be challenging Seth Rollins for the world heavyweight championship at the “Day 1” special edition of Monday Night Raw on Jan. 1, 2024, in San Diego, California.
McIntyre opened this week’s episode by defeating Jey Uso in a singles match. He’s already had a few cracks at Rollins and come up short each time. We’ll see if this latest attempt will be the charm.
