Not surprisingly, The Judgment Day retain the tag team titles on SmackDown

The Street Profits earned themselves a shot at the Undisputed WWE tag team titles by defeating The Brawling Brutes and Pretty Deadly in a triple threat just one week ago. They took that shot at The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & Damian Priest on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Chicago.

The idea going in, at least as presented by commentary, was that the champions were in a tough position having to defend their titles just one night before a major War Games match. Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, under the tutelage of Bobby Lashley, would have an edge and be poised to take advantage.

Only that’s not what happened.

Actually, they looked fantastic all throughout the match but were felled by the same tactics that have been working for Judgment Day for what feels like forever now — Rhea Ripley interfered.

So the titles stay home, and Profits are going to have some explaining to do.

Then again, maybe Lashley will too...
