From the unrelenting beat of a pounding drum, come alive. From the ceasing breast of a wicked beast, we survive. In the hallowed marriage of sound and revolt, come anew. To the hollowed, disparaged— shed and molt, overdue, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of the debut of the all-new, all-different Damage CTRL and the build to WarGames.

Commentary welcomes us to the show.

Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Shotzi Blackheart make their entrance.

Lynch welcomes us to the show and acknowledges that people would wonder why she’s teaming with... who she’s teaming with, but when the offer comes to slap the head off Damage CTRL, the answer is always gonna be a “hell yes!” And there’s no better place to do that than in Chicago, Illinois for WarGames.

Belair says WarGames is perfect for them to get their licks back and Damage CTRL have been going low for some time now. And when Damage CTRL go low, they go to war. Shotzi says Damage CTRL thought they could break her but they just made her stronger, less predictable, and more unbreakable, and she can’t wait to unleash a frenzy of madness on them.

Flair agrees with Blackheart.

Enter Bayley, by herself.

She says she’s known Becky and Charlotte for over ten years and every time they had a car ride together she had a little something to say about Lynch, and vice versa for Becky taking digs at Flair. She also says that being a mom has made The Man soft and now she’s okay with being picked last.

Becky says she didn’t come to Chicago to talk, she came looking for a fight, and she pitches any two of Damage CTRL against her and Charlotte in the main event to prove that they can work together. Bayley calls her an idiot and says that’s exactly what she wanted and she can’t wait to see them implode tonight.

We get a video package recapping Randy Orton being added to the babyface team for the men’s WarGames match tomorrow.

Judgment Day make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Damage CTRL hold court and Bayley says the babyfaces are gonna implode, so what combination of women should fight Charlotte and Becky? IYO SKY says through Dakota Kai that it should be Bayley teaming with Asuka, and the Empress puts an arm around her shoulder and says no one is ready for them.

Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor) (c) vs Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship)

Priest and Dawkins to start, Damian bowls him over with a back elbow, tag to Ford, Montez lights him up but thinks fast and clotheslines him to the floor when he charges in! Off the ropes, Balor tries to cut him off but Ford drops him to the floor with a big chop and drops a plancha on him!

Back from commercial, Ford throwing hard rights, shoved off, rolling elbow connects! Roundhouse kick follows and Montez collapses to the mat! Sidestep the charge, Priest goes hard into the buckle but Finn tags in and cuts Tez off! Assisted blockbuster, one-hand pin... BALOR KICKS OUT!

Profits pressing their advantage, no dice, Dominik runs interference, tag made, Priest hits a fall-forward Tombstone Piledriver, Balor legal...

Judgment Day win by pinfall with Coup de Grace from Finn Balor on Montez Ford, retaining the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship.

Backstage, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are bickering ahead of their match and Bianca Belair reminds them to focus on the match. Flair says Bayley is gonna have a plan and she wants to make sure they have a plan to counter her.

They go back and forth on it a bit and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a Dragon Lee hype reel.

Grayson Waller makes his entrance to host the Grayson Waller Effect.

He gets on the mic, starts his show, and introduces “Kevin Owens,” who is actually Austin Theory gurning and grimacing in a KO t-shirt and shorts.

The real Kevin Owens makes his entrance.

The heels are all confused and KO explains that they introduced him, he came out, it’s not hard. Further, his suspension ended today, and he thought last week that him being invited to the show was an olive branch. Waller says this was all to make fun of him, and Kev says he looks better than ever and asks Theory if he went through his bag to get those shorts.

KO wants to punch both of them at the same time again, and Grayson says actually he thinks they should beat him up. A little back and forth about LA Knight and—

Enter LA Knight.

He says Waller and Theory got caught so he figured he’d come down and let KO punch both of them at the same time, but then they started talking about him and didn’t stop, so they got caught again. He says it doesn’t make a difference if KO or A-Town Clown are there, every single minute of every single hour of every single day, Grayson losing to him is just a fact of life.

Waller says he can win, Owens bickers with him, the babyfaces tear the Grayson Waller Effect set apart while the heels cower, and we go to break.

A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) vs. Kevin Owens & LA Knight

Owens and Waller to start, Kev catches a kick and lays chops in, off the ropes, drop down, leapfrog countered with a hard right hand, tag to Knight! Backing Grayson off with punches, shoulder blocks in the corner, whip across, straight suplex, only a nearfall! LA with an armbar, to the floor, smashing both heels head-first into the announce desk!

Overhead elbow on the apron, Theory cuts him off and Knight drops him but Waller takes full advantage to take things over and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Knight is on the back foot and getting worked over, flurry of punches, land on his feet off a suplex, tag to Owens! KO in hot, lighting Waller up with punches and stomping a proverbial mudhole in him! Lariats on the floor, superkick, back inside, cannonball off the apron takes Theory out!

Up top, Kev perching, senton atomico... SO CLOSE! Off the ropes, Austin with a dropkick off the distraction, putting boots to Owens while Knight protests with referee Jessika Carr. Waller in, diving elbow for two, overhead elbows, elbows, rolling thunder neckbreaker... OWENS KICKS OUT!

Hot tag to Knight, those right-hand jabs into a lariat, Manhattan Drop, off the ropes, lariat, cut Waller off, DDT spikes him! Tilt-a-whirl into a back body drop, stomps in the corner, flapjack sets up the People’s Elbow but Grayson breaks it up! A little more back-and-forth and LA has his sights set...

Kevin Owens & LA Knight win by pinfall with BFT from Knight on Austin Theory.

Backstage, Bianca Belair is talking to Becky Lynch asking her to put everything aside with Charlotte, and using the example of their own professional relationship as proof that she can set her qualms aside.

Lynch says it’s like everyone forgets she’s an Irish hothead, but she’s cool and she has this.

Carlito makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a recap of Santos Escobar’s promo from last week.

Carlito is in the ring and on the mic.

He greets Chicago and says it’s been a long time. Tomorrow night at Survivor Series will be his first match at a premium live event in almost thirteen years, and that’s cool, but honestly all he can think about is his injured friend and brother Rey Mysterio, and all he can think about is getting his hands on Santos Escobar.

Santos came out here and said horrible things about Rey and had a message for him, but he has a message for Escobar, and he apologizes for saying it in Spanish but he wants him to know exactly what he means. As prophesied, Carlito speaks in Spanish before telling him in English that he made a very big mistake.

Enter Santos Escobar.

He speaks Spanish right back at Carlito before asking in English if he’s saying that he, of all people, without even an LWO tattoo or the colors, thinks Rey is his family now? Carlito says Rey was always his family and Escobar shouts him down amd accuses him of taking his family away from him!

Carlito rushes him, they brawl on the floor, Colon throws him into the barricade a few times and lays mounted punches in on the ramp as referees swarm! Pull-apart, Santos blindsides Carlito with a knee off the barricade and leaves him laying and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a recap of what we just saw.

Referees are helping Carlito along in the back when Santos Escobar jumps him again! He tries to put Colon in a cross armbar but here comes Dragon Lee to make the save!

Brawling Brutes (Pete “BUTCH” Dunne & Ridge Holland) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson)

Holland and Wilson to start, Saito suplex from Ridge! Clawing at Kit’s face, crossface strikes, clubbing him down! Whip to the corner, Dunne tags in, so does Prince, Brawling Brutes in control with stereo Beats of the Bodhran but Elton snaps Pete’s neck over the ropes!

Ridge goes after Prince, Wilson cuts him off, and Elton takes full advantage with mounted punches! BUTCH with an enzuigiri but Ridge takes a walk! Assisted fireman’s carry gutbuster... DUNNE KICKS OUT! Tag made, disdainful kicks, Pete firing chops off two-for-one, German suplexes for both Yes Boys! Running enzuigiris corner to corner, stomp Kit’s hands, buzzsaw roundhouse kick connects!

Dunne fired up, pump kick into a folding press... PRINCE KICKS OUT! Pete working his fingers... WISHBONE’D! Blind tag, Bitter End, no deal, Wilson slides in...

Pretty Deadly win by pinfall with a crucifix pin from Kit Wilson on Pete Dunne.

Backstage, Shotzi Blackheart chats with Charlotte Flair.

She talks about how Damage CTRL shaved her head and asks Charlotte what she told her the first time she saw her bald, and Flair says she told her she was beautiful, because she is. Blackheart says she doesn’t want her to ignore her past with Becky, but to consider that she’s as hurt by her past and Charlotte is and maybe a few words could change things.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Kayla Braxton interviews general manager Nick Aldis backstage.

He says hectic doesn’t cover it and he has an update on Carlito— he’s hurt so bad he’s in no condition to compete so he’s postponing the match.

Dragon Lee rolls up and makes an impassioned plea to be allowed to step in and show Santos a lesson. Aldis tells him he’s in!

Commentary hypes up the Survivor Series card.

Judgment Day are hanging out backstage.

Rhea Ripley says they’re on SmackDown because they run all of WWE, and Finn Balor says their defense was a nice warmup ahead of WarGames. JD McDonagh says Randy Orton should just say home, and Damian Priest agrees, saying they’ll make sure he doesn’t have another comeback.

Becky Lynch rolls up on Charlotte Flair backstage.

They ask each other if they’re good and they both agree that they’re good before they walk off together.

Damage CTRL make their entrance and we go to break.

Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair vs. Damage CTRL (Asuka & Bayley)

Lynch and Bayley to start, exploder suplex sends the Role Model to the floor! Off the ropes, basement dropkick, diving punch on Asuka, Flair up top, moonsault onto both women and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Asuka with a kneeling armbar, Lynch throwing punches to break it up but the Empress knocks her back down! Pressing the attack, right hands, disdainful kicks, Becky fights back with more punches and a rolling solebutt staggers her! Knee up in the corner, back elbow, jawbreaker, crawling, enzuigiri... TAG MADE!

Flair with a diving crossbody, laying chops in, Bayley off the ropes, caught in the fallaway slam! Handspring lariat, cover for two! Whip reversed, Flair Flip, big boot, tag from Asuka! Codebreaker on Charlotte, cover for two! Bayley tags back in, assisted diving elbow, cover... LYNCH BREAKS IT UP!

Becky legal, double DDT, cover for two! Dis-Arm-Her follows, Asuka breaks it up with a kick! Lynch passes her to the floor, Roseplant denied, back suplex counters! Fired up, Manhandle Slam but Flair spears Asuka into the cover and accidentally breaks it up!

Becky’s lip busted open, she confronts Charlotte, Bayley shoves her into her...

Damage CTRL win by pinfall with a lateral press from Bayley on Becky Lynch.

Post-match, Becky and Charlotte bicker as Bianca and Shotzi try to keep the peace, and Lynch takes a walk.

That’s the show, folks.
