John Cena is gone from WWE and back in Hollywood, but he’s still a WWE company man through and through.
Here he is on social media earlier today, celebrating Thanksgiving by getting the word out on that Randy Orton guy, who is set to return to WWE on Saturday night (Nov. 25) for a War Games match at Survivor Series. Orton has been out of action for 18 months due to a major back injury.
John expressed his gratitude to Randal by posting this clip of their final match in Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE’s developmental territory at the time:
Cannot celebrate this day without being thankful for all the people who helped and grew along the way. Truly thankful for my time in OVW and @RandyOrton during those years. Take a look back at our final match in OVW! Happy Thanksgiving! @tiktok_us @WWE pic.twitter.com/LUVzXNOCA0— John Cena (@JohnCena) November 23, 2023
I’ll follow John’s lead and mention a few things I’m thankful for in pro wrestling right now. That includes LA Knight’s babyface push to the main event in WWE, getting to watch Sting and Bryan Danielson as they wind down their wrestling careers, the hilarity of Kevin Owens punching Grayson Waller and Austin Theory in the face at the same time, and the fact that so many pro wrestlers out there like Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page always go above and beyond to entertain us on a weekly basis.
And of course, I’m most grateful for all of you fine folks reading this who continue to visit Cageside Seats and help make this the best pro wrestling community on the internet.
What are you thankful for in pro wrestling today, Cagesiders?
