Gargano, Grimes & Reed returning to WWE NXT as part of a Dirty Dom angle

NXT last night (Nov. 21) featured a war of words between current North American champion Dominik Mysterio and the man he beat for the belt back in the summer, Wes Lee.

Lee wants a chance to win back the title, but Mysterio had some conditions — they don’t call him Dirty for nothing. First, Wes will have to win a qualifier against three former North American champs. So Johnny Gargano, Cameron Grimes & Bronson Reed will return to NXT next Tuesday for that:

Reed and Gargano have been staying busy on Raw lately. Grimes has appeared sporadically on SmackDown, wrestling his first television match in a month on last Friday’s show.

But back to NXT and Lee’s NA title chase, if he wins next week’s 4Way over the main roster guest stars, he’ll get his shot at Mysterio on Dec. 9’s Deadline premium live event. If Dirty Dom wins that though, Wes can’t challenge for the championship again.

Elsewhere on the black-and-gold show, the NXT Tag titles will also be on the line during Nov. 28’s show. Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo won a match last night and then jumped Tony D’Angelo & Stacks as they were leaving the restaurant where The Family was celebrating getting the belts back. Bada Boom, Bada Bing... we’ve got a championship match.

Plus, Andre Chase will finally address the scandal swirling at his University, and we’ll get two more Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying matches.
