WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JULY 26

Hush don’t you cry in the next life. She takes me to the water, don’t say a word. And when I ask her, is she doing alright? She’s a rollercoaster, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Zoey Stark making her entrance.

She gets on the mic and says it feels good to be back and we have no idea. She wasn’t really ever sure if she’d get to feel this moment ever again after she tore her ACL and MCL straight off the bone at Halloween Havoc. Doctors told her she’d be out well over a year, and that was a hard pill for her to swallow.

But she knew deep down inside that she could beat that timetable, so the day after surgery she got to work doing physical therapy and yeah there were hard times, physically and mentally. She lived in the trainer’s room and busted her ass to get back four months ahead of schedule.

She talks about how great her comeback pop was and says it’s the same women who took her out and nearly ended her career that stand in her way now, Toxic Attraction. So she’s gonna take the NXT Women’s Championship from Mandy Rose.

Cora Jade interrupts.

She mocks Stark for being thankful for things and Zoey fires back that the last time she saw her she was eliminating her from the battle royal she came back in. Cora complains that she should have won the match but Stark had to steal her moment, Zoey calls her trash, and—

Enter Toxic Attraction.

Mandy Rose says when it comes to the NXT Women’s Champion, she only wins, and as of tomorrow she’ll have the fourth-longest reign with the title. Gigi Dolin says she’ll wrestle Zoey tonight and put her back on the shelf, keeping her dream of being champion as just that— a dream.

Grayson Waller cuts a promo calling the viewer pathetic and telling us to sit back and watch what he does to Wes Lee, and we go to break.

Back from commercial we get Tony D’Angelo giving a pep talk to the Family.

He’s feeling good about their direction, but loyalty isn’t a one-time thing, and tonight they’re gonna crack some skulls opposite Diamond Mine, and it’s just business— Tony D business.

Grayon Waller vs. Wes Lee

Waller in control early, trying to grind Lee down, crucifix pin out of some pyrotechnics and he taunts him with some fancy footwork! Go-behind, back suplex, Wes lands on his feet, la casadora into an arm drag! Crossbody caught, fireman’s carry, Lee slips out, sunset flip for two!

Victory roll follows, still just two, stomp and taunting Grayson right back! Arm drags, looking for an armbar but Waller spasms and flops and posts up to his feet. Right hand for the break, Grayson skitters to the corner after a feint! Single leg into a pin, nope, Waller blasts Lee with a boot and knocks him down!

Tijeras from Wes, dropkick sends Grayson to the floor, Waller cracks him one when he follows but Lee throws a superkick and lays him out as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Waller has a backbreaker hold locked in, dominating Lee. Grabbing his hair, taunting him, action to the floor! Lee with a dive, up top, Grayson pushes him off and some dude in a hoodie and boxing gloves lands a solid right hook! Waller taking the count but Wes beats it! Still out of sorts, however, and Grayson takes advantage...

Grayson Waller wins by pinfall with the slingshot Stunner.

Post-match, the man from the crowd takes his hoodie off in the ring and stands tall over Lee’s body— it’s Trick Williams!

The Schism are interviewed backstage.

Rip and Jagger talk about how they’ve reached acceptance in a community where they can truly be recognized, Joe Gacy says Cameron Grimes just needs to open his heart and join them.

Apollo Crews makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Arianna Grace is watching Indi Hartwell footage on a table and complaining to some other girls backstage.

Indi rolls up to tell her off and remind her this is a wrestling show, not a beauty pageant.

Apollo Crews vs. Xyon Quinn

Crews explosive out the gates, Quinn fires back, Apollo lands a body slam! Slingshot to the apron, back inside, senton atomico... NOPE! Big northern forearm from Xyon, straight suplex, Crews back into it, diving crossbody but he’s having trouble capitalizing!

Quinn recovering in the corner, he meets Apollo with a boot, fireman’s carry into a Death Valley Driver... STILL NO! Crews hits a lungblower...

Apollo Crews wins by pinfall with a thrust spinebuster.

Toxic Attraction are interviewed backstage.

Mandy Rose says her title match at Heat Wave in a few weeks against Zoey Stark has been canceled because Gigi Dolin is gonna take her out tonight.

Sarray rolls up and says she missed the battle royal and she wants an opportunity. Jacy Jayne mocks her and Mandy says she can go back and for to the UK looking for an opportunity, but she hasn’t forgotten that Sarray tried to rearrange her face and end things before they began, so she’ll see her next week and she doesn’t care which one she gets.

The Toxics make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a video package for Solo Sikoa.

Gigi Dolin vs. Zoey Stark

Stark in with heavy back elbows out the gates, a little interference from ringside and Dolin is throwing big forearms of her own! Forearms for a pump kick, Gigi lands a back suplex for two! Dolin follows it up with a deathlock bow-and-arrow, Zoey gets out of it and drops her with a lariat!

Strike rush, off the ropes, sliding knee... NOPE! Following it up...

Zoey Stark wins by pinfall with a sort of flipping facebreaker thing out of a Here It Is Driver clutch.

Post-match, Mandy and Jacy try to rush Zoey but she fends them off!

Cora Jade hits the ring to beat Stark down but Roxanne Perez makes the save!

We see JD McDonagh rolling up to the arena and we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a Wendy Choo video package of her tossing and turning, dreaming of her defeat at the hands of Tiffany Stratton.

She wakes up and says next time it won’t be such a pretty picture and it’ll be lights out for Stratton.

JD McDonagh cuts a promo from the crowd.

He hasn’t had a chance to formally introduce himself so he figured he’d do that.

He picks on a chubby guy in a Bron Breakker shirt eating popcorn, warning him that he better chew carefully lest he choke and die. He introduces himself to the timekeeper and puts him over as very important, playing with the hammer and asking what it does to a human hand.

He does, doesn’t even take that much pressure, you hit the right spot and it’ll pop a finger right out of socket. Alicia Taylor, the ring announcer, is next and he simply tells her she has a fabulous voice. He introduces himself to Wade Barrett and shakes his hands, telling him he can feel the calcium deposits from his years of bare knuckle boxing, warning him that it makes the joints easy to manipulate as you get older.

Vic Joseph goes to stand up and JD pushes him back into his chair, telling him he heard what he said about his family last week and he didn’t like it. But he sized him up the second he saw him, and he’s probably got soft bones, right? He bets he could break his collarbone with his bare hands, and gives it a squeeze before saying he won’t do it.

McDonagh slides in the ring and says there’s one more person he wants to introduce himself to, Bron Breakker.

Enter Bron Breakker.

He says JD will get real acclimated to him in a few weeks at Heat Wave, and he’s not gonna like it. Next week they’ll make it official— MCDONAGH HITS A HEADBUTT BUT BRON STRAIGHTENS UP AND KNOCKS HIM DOWN WITH ONE OF HIS OWN! JD’s bleeding from the mouth and tastes his own blood, smiling.

Andre Chase gets a briefing on Giovanni Vinci from Bodhi Heyward and Thea Hail, who talk about what a dick he is. Chase says he’ll take care of it and Nathan Frazer walks up.

He says he’s back from injury and he’s excited to see Andre take care of business tonight and he wants to be honorary flagbearer. Chase lets him and says he’s gonna give Vinci a southern ass-whipping, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a comic book-style recap of Razerwyng’s Axiom’s debut last week.

Roxanne Perez is interviewed backstage.

She says it’s fine if Cora Jade wants to throw their friendship away and twist and turn her words, but throwing a title belt in the trash is something she can’t stand for. But luckily someone else agrees, and Alundra Blayze is here with the trash can!

Perez fishes the title out and hands both belts to Blayze, who says 25 years ago she threw a title in the trash and it took too long to crown a new women’s champion, but next week we’re gonna have a four-way eliminator for the newly-vacant NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Andre Chase vs. Giovanni Vinci

Collar and elbow, Vinci shoves Chase away and they go back to it. Hammerlock from the Italian, into a wristlock, Andre reverses, judo throw into an armbar! Giovanni with some boots, an uppercut, off the ropes, sunset flip for two! La Casita, also two, crucifix pin, Vinci just won’t stay down!

Hip toss, armbar, whip across, drop down, dropkick takes Chase off his feet! Giovanni yanks the flag out of Heyward’s hands and breaks it over his knee! Andre grabs him and throws him into the post and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Vinci in control but Chase boxes his ears. Boot up in the corner, off the second, sunset flip for two! Back body drop sends Andre to the floor, back inside, punches and chops, Chase with a big back suplex! Stomping away, big Side Effect... SO CLOSE!

Overhead elbows, whip reversed, boot up, big knee out of the corner but Vinci reverses a blockbuster into a brainbuster... NOPE! Chase catches him, Tiger Driver... GIOVANNI VINCI WON’T STAY DOWN! Back and forth, Vinci with a lariat, powerbomb lift...

Giovanni Vinci wins by pinfall with a Last Ride.

Post-match, Nathan Frazer hits the ring and runs Vinci off!

We see Diamond Mine backstage warming up for their match.

Roderick Strong says it might be crazy but this Tony D stuff is great for them, and they’re on the same page. Julius Creed says if you get hurt tonight you push through it, and they’re gonna drop Tony D’s bitch ass tonight. Pressure makes diamonds, but tonight it breaks bones.

Indi Hartwell makes her entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz are video chatting when Sanga rolls up.

He says he’s so happy for them and their friendship is amazing, but next week, whatever standard they set, women will follow, and we’ll have new tag team champions.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance are interviewed backstage.

They complain about being disrespected and say the titles belong on true friends, which is what they are.

Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley roll up and say that actually they’ll win the tag titles.

Elektra Lopez comes out and says those are strong words and Diamond Mine is gonna lose tonight. Paxley throws a forearm and a brawl breaks out, necessitating Norman Smiley and agents to break it up!

Arianna Grace vs. Indi Hartwell

Hartwell grounding her early, reverse chinlock, Grace fights to her feet, snapmare and she rolls through with grace and stands back up. Indi with a wristlock this time, whip across, shoulder block, side slam, Arianna gets her footing and fires back with a stomp and smashes into the turnbuckles!

Rear chinlock applied, seated senton and knees to the ribs when Indi tries to get away and she goes right back to the chinlock! Hartwell with a boot, sidestepped, folding press, Grace puts her feet on the ropes but the referee catches her! Indi takes advantage of the moment...

Indi Hartwell wins by pinfall with a big boot.

Von Wagner and Robert Stone cut a promo backstage.

Stone talks about how Wagner has no remorse and they decline Solo Sikoa’s challenge to a falls count anywhere. Von disagrees and wants to accept the match.

The D’Angelo Family make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a Kiana James video package that starts off with her credentials and tries to answer what’s wrong with the women’s division.

She singles Nikkita Lyons out as The Real Problem and lists several reasons as to why.

We get a video package highlighting the feud between Lash Legend and Alba Fyre.

Commentary hypes next week’s show up.

Diamond Mine (Brutus Creed, Damon Kemp, Julius Creed, & Roderick Strong) vs. the D’Angelo Family (Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, & Tony D’Angelo)

Diamond Mine taking control early, D’Angelo bails to the floor and back in, all eight men fill the ring and we get a stalemate! All-out brawling, a Creed with an ankle lock on D’Angelo but the Family save him and pull him to the floor! BRUTUS BOMB WIPES THEM OUT AND WE GO TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Wilde is grinding Brutus down. Creed bridges out of a headlock, off the ropes, big pop-up drop and a tag to Kemp! Back elbows, duck a lariat, shoulder block! Fireman’s carry, whip across, spinning body slam and an elbow drop, lariat to the floor follows!

Del Toro runs in, Joaquin returns with a chop block and the tide turns with leg kicks! Slingshot spear from Kemp to Lorenzo, the path is clear but Cruz tags back in and cuts him off with a kidney shot! Julius tags in and demolishes everybody, superplex to Wilde! Vicious bridging German on a legal D’Angelo... NOPE!

Belly-to-belly suplex, Tony stomps his knee out but Creed reverses to an ankle lock! Stacks breaks it up, the match breaks down...

The D’Angelo Family win by pinfall with a fisherman neckbreaker from Tony D’Angelo on Julius Creed.

Alundra Blayze walks out of the building holding the NXT Women’s Championships and says the last team standing wins next week.

Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne pop out of the bushes and say they’re the only team in the division and she should just hand them over. Alundra tells them they’ll have to fight for them and yanks them away.

That’s the show, folks.
