WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR APRIL 19
I must go off alone in wild, where I just might escape my restraints. But what of the other? Could I endure the cold thought of never seeing her ‘gain? Though there is madness here, she is least one shining brilliance to help me through liveblogging this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a recap of last week’s gauntlet match that saw Pretty Deadly crowned the new NXT Tag Team Champions, interspersed with “the signal is hacked” type break-ins from Joe Gacy.
While Pretty Deadly make their entrance, we see footage of Bron Breakker walking up to the arena.
Pretty Deadly get on the mic and crow about their victory, but they’re soon interrupted—
Grizzled Young Veterans make their entrance.
GYV say the only reason Pretty Deadly had any success in the UK is because they left, and the only reason they won the title last week is that they weren’t in the match.
Enter Legado del Fantasma.
They beat GYV up while Elektra Lopez says they want a title match too.
Referees swarm to break things up.
Bron Breakker comes storming right in and he calls Joe Gacy down to see exactly what he’ll sacrifice.
Joe appears over the arena PA and says he’s not a hard man to find and he’s got what Bron wants, so just come and find him.
Tiffany Stratton makes her entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get video of Santos Escobar telling Carmelo Hayes he should be behind him in line for a title shot at the NXT North American Championship.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams get a live promo where he says he’s not taking it and they’ll have a wrestle about it.
Sarray vs. Tiffany Stratton
Sarray with a shove, Stratton throws a kick at her in return, wristlock, reversed into an arm drag! Dropkick, duck a lariat, big forearm, off the ropes, Sarray with a schoolboy for two and into a deathlock when she kicks out! Tiffany sidesteps the running dropkick, gets Sarray in the ropes for a hip attack and covers her... NOPE!
Cobra Clutch applied, wrenching it in, Sarray gets away and goes up top, diving double stomp, choking her in the ropes, Stratton hangs on but she shakes her off and hits the running dropkick this time! Waistlock applied, Tiffany blocks with a back elbow, popping up...
Tiffany Stratton wins by pinfall with a corkscrew Vader Bomb.
Backstage, Bron Breakker just about walks through Grizzled Young Vets looking for Gacy. He hears a voice calling for him and he walks through a door to find the cell where Joe was holding his father. The voiceover continues and Breakker finds a tablet playing footage of his father being tortured, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Pretty Deadly are walking backstage when they run into Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell.
The girls have a favor to ask, they want a match. Pretty Deadly accept and then they reveal that they meant with Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson, and the tag champs recede into the background with vague promises of talking later.
Grayson Waller is interviewed backstage.
He says Sanga was only useful inasmuch as he had a plan to win the North American Championship, and since he doesn’t have the title, he’s gone. He’s not afraid of Sanga, Chase U roll up to have a teachable moment, and then...
Enter Sanga.
He marches inexorably in Grayson’s direction, plowing through everything Waller literally throws at him. They end up in the ring, a referee is here and Waller wants a match?!
Grayson Waller vs. Sanga
Grayson throws some forearms, Sanga destroys him and then starts throwing him around with abandon! Waller manages to get him down to one knee, throwing punches, shoved into the ropes and Sanga levels him with a shoulder block! She’s interviewed backstage.
She says it’s surreal and she’s nervous but she’s worked towards this her entire life.
Toxic Attraction roll up to introduce themselves and Mandy Rose warns her to not set her bar too high, because she’ll never get there. The tag champs accuse her of having an attitude and they want to fight her tonight. Roxanne says she’ll figure something out and walks off.
Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) vs. Legado del Fantasma (Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde)
LdF with dives before the bell and we’re off! They work Drake over and keep the pressure up even after Gibson tags in. Boot up in the corner, Zack gets some hope, tag to James, gamengiri, step-up dropkick clears the apron! Wilde with a boot and a spin-out facebuster, he wants the tag but Gibson blocks at first. Upkick, separation, tag made!

He says the last few weeks have been chaotic and rough and he has a lot of doubts and he feels lost, but—
Xyon Quinn rolls up and says something cryptic and Lee says nobody knows what he’s saying and this isn’t the time to be saying it. Quinn says he’ll teach him a lesson, and Wes says he’s got a lot of doubts but he’s at home in the ring, and maybe wrestling Xyon will settle those doubts.
We get video of Fallon Henley attacking Elektra Lopez during the break.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Santos Escobar
Escobar with a waistlock, pushing Hayes into the corner and breaking clean. He looks for an armbar but again, Carmelo gets in the ropes and forces a break. Circling, front chancery, this time Santos gets the ropes and Hayes refuses to break as referee DA Brewer warns him to let go!
Back to circling, front kick from Hayes, side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, Escobar returns the favor with a dropkick! Enzuigiri, diving crossbody, Trick runs interference, off the ropes, pump knee, hip tosses denied but Hayes snaps off a three-quarter facelock neckbreaker and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Escobar with a knee, an elbow, a lariat and both men are down and out! Back on their feet, Santos wants a Storm Cradle Driver perhaps but Hayes reverses to a half crab! Escobar gets the ropes, Carmelo hangs on for as long as he can before shifting to a front chancery.
Small package from Santos is a two, Hayes with disdainful kicks and back to a front chancery, Escobar reverses to a delayed vertical suplex! On their knees and trading forearms to their feet, Santos with a huge overhead chop in the corner, enzuigiri, mounted punches!

We see Bron Breakker stepping out of an elevator and approaching a door. He cracks it open and steps into a room full of mirrors. He sees Joe Gacy in one but when he turns around, he’s not there, so he starts smashing mirrors as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Malcolm Bivens is on the phone while Roderick Strong trains.
Roddy tells him the last few months have been hard but that ends now. He’s the leader and he refuses to watch another group crumble before his eyes. He’s gonna make some examples, and if you don’t agree with his vision, you’re an enemy of Diamond Mine.
Natalya vs. Tatum Paxley
Circling, collar and elbow, Natalya rams her into the corner and breaks clean. Shoving her down, Nattie assumes control for a while but eventually Paxley gets an arm drag to send her to the floor. Out and back in, Neidhart drops her with the discus lariat! Back in the ring, smashing her face into the mat, looking for the Romero Special and she falls back to full extension!
Transitioning into a kick to the back, whip across, back elbow, duck a lariat, right hand, back elbow, snap suplex connects! Standing senton atomico... NOPE! Sidestep the charge, leg pick...

Quinn pulls him back to his feet, off the ropes...
Xyon Quinn wins by pinfall with the flying forearm.
Natalya is interviewed backstage.
She says Cora Jade loves to play the victim but last week wasn’t an attack, it was self-defense.
Nikkita Lyons rolls up and says she heard Nattie put the whole locker room on notice, well next week she’s coming for Neidhart. Natalya says she’ll leave her screaming in the Sharpshooter and Lyons says it’s okay, she’s flexible.

Circling, Jayne with a knee and a clubbing blow, a chop, trading quick pins but nobody can get a win! Jacy with a front kick, pass into the corner, superkick lays her out! But Wendy Choo appears on the tron as a distraction, mentioning she did some remodeling to the Toxics’ locker room!
This gives Perez a moment...

A spotlight comes up on Joe Gacy and he says Bron Breakker’s been looking for him all night and here he is.
Enter Bron Breakker.
Joe Gacy says he’ll give Breakker what he wants as long as he gets a title match at Spring Breakin’.
Bron accepts and Joe puts the ring in his pocket before saying there’s one more thing he has to do— he has to take a leap of faith. Gacy shoves him off the platform and Breakker crashes a good six or seven feet to the floor! He gets swarmed by... druids? I don’t know.
That’s the show, folks.
