WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR APRIL 11
In the middle of a gunfight, in the center of a restaurant, they say, “Come with your arms raised high.” Well, they’re never gonna get me, because I’d rather liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a video package recapping Cody Rhodes’ debut promo and doing comparison shots of him and his father, the late great American Dream, Dusty Rhodes.
The Miz makes his entrance and gets on the mic to welcome us to MizTV.
He says his guest tonight is an extraordinary superstar, Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare then makes his entrance, with lots of pyro.
Miz complains that he’s trying to upstage him on his own show, and Cody tells him not to begrudge him his indulgence, because it’s been a long time since he was in front of a crowd like this. Miz says it’s nice that he’s trying to honor his father but without his family he wouldn’t be the grandson of a plumber, he’d just be a plumber.
Rhodes isn’t impressed and says being a plumber would be good right now because Miz is completely full of it. He tells the A-Lister he hasn’t changed a day, and he’s arrogant, obnoxious, a full-blown carny, but none of that matters because he’s here to win the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship title belt.
Miz corrects him on belt and says that’s a long way away because Seth Rollins wants a rematch first, with time to strategize and come up with a plan to fight Cody. So Miz doesn’t like Rhodes’ chances then, and he doesn’t like Cody’s chances tonight against him.
Rhodes says Miz must feel threatened and he has zero issue with Seth because he gave him a great fight and he’d be happy to oblige him a rematch, but Miz isn’t the competitor or the man that Rollins is. Cody’s looking forward to his first match back on Raw anyway, though, and may the best man win.
Miz tries to sneak attack Cody but the American Nightmare has him scouted and passes him to the floor, whereupon the A-Lister runs away.
Commentary hypes up the rest of the show.
Dominik Mysterio makes his entrance and we go to break.
Dominik Mysterio vs. Veer Mahaan
Circling, Mysterio lighting him up with strikes but Mahaan shrugs it off and levels him! Clubbing blows, a weird leaping body press that looked kinda like a dick strike, Dom throws him to the floor but Veer catches him on a dive and throws him into the barricade!
Huge lariat on the floor, throwing Mysterio back inside, dropping him with another lariat, a jumping seated senton and then...
Veer Mahaan wins by pinfall with a head-and-arm choke.
Post-match, he locks the choke on again, agents (including Petey Williams!) and referees rush down to pull him off but Veer keeps choking him!
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial we get an instagram hype reel.
Damian Priest gets a promo and says he’s gonna beat AJ up real good.
AJ Styles vs. Damian Priest

Damian kneels in the middle of the ring and reaches up, making the lights go out and the blue light come on.
He kneels there and stares into the camera and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a recap of what we just saw, because Raw is three hours long. (Three hours long.)
AJ Styles is interviewed backstage so I guess...
The match went to a no-contest?
He says he doesn’t care what Edge or anyone else does, they’re not gonna stop him.
Cody Rhodes vs. the Miz
Seth Rollins makes his entrance and takes a seat near commentary as they get into it.
Rhodes with a snap scoop powerslam and the Beautiful Disaster to the floor, Miz runs away and rolls back in the ring and Cody has the elbow drop scouted before going for the Cody Cutter! Blocked, Skull-Crushing Finale reversed, delayed vertical gourdbuster... NOPE!
Cody does some push-ups, a boot, a cravate applied in the middle of the ring. Miz slips out, knees to the back, off the ropes with a basement boot! Stalking, seated senton, clawing Rhodes’ face, shifting to a reverse chinlock, grounding Cody. Rhodes punching away, putting Miz in the corner and laying in open-hand chops.

We get a recap of Kevin Owens’ business with Ezekiel from last week.
Tommaso Ciampa is interviewed as the newest member of Raw, but Ezekiel rolls up and interrupts.
KO is right behind to point out that Ezekiel is Elias and tells him to stop lying. Ciampa believes that he’s Ezekiel but Owens insists that he has to be Elias.
Liv Morgan makes her entrance.
Back from commercial we get a media hype reel for WrestleMania 38’s success.
Liv Morgan vs. Naomi
Collar and elbow, Naomi with a side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, off the ropes, drop down, staredown, leapfrog, hip toss, jockeying for position, Morgan ducks some kicks but Naomi blasts her in the face! Up and over, booty shake headscissors, Liv snaps off a Frankensteiner!
Back roll into a superkick, Naomi covers... NOPE! Inside cradle for two, duck the lariat, slide under, stereo enzuigiris! Oblivion denied, elbow, up top, diving but Naomi counters with a powerbomb! Folding press, nope, sunset flip, reversals...
Naomi wins by pinfall with a bridging folding press.
We get a recap of Montel Vontavious Porter turning on Bobby Lashley and joining forces with Omos.
Bobby Lashley makes his entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Bobby Lashley is on the mic in the VIP Lounge set.
He says he wasn’t invited but after what MVP and Omos did to him last week, he decided to invite himself. He demands Porter come down and explain himself, and when he doesn’t, he threatens to destroy the set and the rich Corinthian leather of the couches.
Enter MVP and Omos.
MVP says that if Bob destroys any of his property he’s gonna call his lawyers. Montel demands he changes the tone of his voice and put some respect on his name, because he should be thanking him. If he wants an explanation, alright, he deserves it.
Porter says when he came back to WWE, Lashley was floundering, letting some sawed off runt lead his career astray, and he couldn’t even sniff a WWE Championship until MVP joined up with him. Now he thinks he doesn’t need him after everything, he doesn’t want to share his WrestleMania spotlight? HE WAS JUST BOBBY LASHLEY BUT MVP MADE HIM ALL MIGHTY.
Lashley counters, saying that Montel was ready to retire when he grabbed onto the next big thing. MVP says Bob barely survived the last match against Omos, but Lashley says he’s gonna take care of the big man and then he’s coming for MVP! Bob flips over the VIP Lounge set like a bored cat.
We get a recap of Reggie proposing to Dana Brooke from a few weeks ago.

Sonya says she’s lined up Bianca Belair’s first challenger.
Zelina Vega gets an inset promo where she says she feels liberated now that Carmella isn’t holding her down, and she plans to beat Bianca for the title.
Bianca Belair vs. Queen Zelina Vega
Vega with a Muta Lock early, shifting to a reverse chinlock but Belair hosses her out of it and hits a fallaway slam. Military press, doing squats before dropping Zelina, drawing her up, backbreaker rack...
Bianca Belair wins by pinfall with KOD.
Sonya Deville makes her entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Sonya Deville puts Bianca Belair over before getting to announcing her opponent.
She says it wasn’t the easiest task because there’s lots of viable opponents in the women’s division like Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Doudrop, Dana Brooke... Bianca says she’d be happy to wrestle any of those women but at the end of the day no matter who her opponent is, she’s keeping the title.
Sonya says if she’s serious about that she should sign the open contract she has right here so she can prove that she is the EST of WWE. Bianca says she said what she said and she signs the open contract! Deville introduces her opponent to sign the contract and make it official.

R-Truth comes up to yell at them all and say nobody loves the 24/7 title like he does, and that love holds them all together. And in the spirit of love, and as an ordained minister, he orders all attacks on Brooke to stop until he can matrimonialize these two beautiful couples next week!
RK-BRO make their entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial we get a recap of what we just saw.
Adam Pearce confronts Sonya Deville backstage over her lack of professionalism and she says there’s nothing he can do about it.

Post-match, we see the Usos roll up to the arena, saying they’re here to complete the mission as we go to break.
Back from commercial, the Usos come down and confront RK-BRO.
They say they know exactly why they’re here, and they’re looking to add the Raw Tag Team Championships to their collection in a title unification match.
Enter the Street Profits.
They say last time they checked, they challenged RK-BRO to a title match but Alpha Academy got involved and made it a three-way, and the way they see it, they’re next in line. They bicker with the Usos and Randy Orton gets involved and books a match between the two teams!
...after the break, of course.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. the Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

Working Angelo over, Usos throw him at RK-BRO on commentary, Ford dives on them with the ringpost tope con giro and gets in RK-BRO’s face as we go to break!
Back from commercial, Jimmy has Angelo in a reverse chinlock to grind him down. Tags made, Ford with a huge diving crossbody, whip across, lariat, Jimmy goes for a back suplex, Montez lands on his feet and sends him packing with a kick combination!
