WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 8

An angel’s kiss now fallen, descending scarlet cuts the sky. Faded names left on the wall honor the fighting, leave life to die. Remembered is the sacrifice but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a video about roads and tonight’s matches.

Cora Jade & Raquel Gonzalez vs. Dakota Kai & Wendy Choo (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals)

Choo and Jade to start, little back and forth, Wendy takes a nap and Cora tiptoes for the tag. Elbow drop misses, Choo wakes up, side headlock, fireman’s carry, airplane spin gets two! Armbar applied, Jade tags back in, Wendy rams her into the corner and tags Kai in!

Double teams, working Cora over at some length, targeting her injured arm, rolling reversals in a small package end with Jade going to the floor and Choo blasting her with a baseball slide! Kai and Gonzalez face off, Toxic Attraction do a run-in and kneecap Raquel to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Kai has Jade locked down in a Japanese stranglehold! Cora charges in, sunset flip for two, dropkick, nobody on the apron and Dakota tags Choo in. Jade throwing lariats, an enzuigiri, corner dropkick hammers Wendy but the cover is only good for two!

Kai back in, doubleteam facebuster for two, she gets away and gets the tag! One-legged Gonzalez cleaning house, looking for the one-arm powerbomb but she collapses and can’t fully plant Dakota with it! Team Kick, tag to Choo, tag back, Vader Bomb sets her up...

Dakota Kai & Wendy Choo win by pinfall with a double stomp off the top from Kai on Raquel Gonzalez.

Tomasso Ciampa cuts a promo backstage.

He says he’s going to become a three-time NXT Champion tonight and this one feels different, it feels like it’s for more than just the NXT Championship.

Tiffany Stratton is shown walking backstage and being observed by Sarray.

Cut to the Creed Brothers, writhing in pain in the parking lot.

Referees and trainers and Malcolm Bivens and Roderick Strong check on them and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we see a busy trainer’s room with the Creeds being tended to as Raquel Gonzalez hobbles her way in.

Fallon Henley vs. Tiffany Stratton

Trading wristlocks, Henley with an arm drag, she goes for another and Stratton blocks, fireman’s carry, a little back and forth, Fallon takes charge but Tiffany blocks a bulldog and catches her into a Samoan Drop! Only two, Henley overcomes her, Sarray runs in...

Fallon Henley wins by pinfall.

Post-match, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen come down to celebrate with Henley.

We get a Chase University video package where he admonishes his students for screwing his entrance up last week and costing him the match but puts his boy Bodhi Hayward over for helping him out.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a Carmelo Hayes barbershop vignette where he talks up his successes and sets up his Stand and Deliver ladder match defense of the NXT North American Championship.

He confirms that it’ll be a multi-man like the original North American title match, and Trick Williams lights on having four opponents and making them all qualify for the match.

We cut to Lashing Out With Lash Legend and she introduces her guest, Nikkita Lyons.

Lash asks if her mom was a groupie for just her dad or everybody, and Lyons says her mom taught her not to be judgmental towards everyone. They bicker, security comes to break them up and conveniently Legend says they’re out of time.

Imperium are interviewed backstage.

They say they’d never taint the honor of this great sport by resorting to underhanded tactics, and it’s a shame the Creeds got beat up in the parking lot.

MSK roll up and say if the Creeds can’t go, they’d be happy to take their spot and win the titles and give them a shot back when they heal up.

LA Knight makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Briggs and Jensen are hanging out with Fallon Henley.

Legado del Fantasma are walking behind them and they accost them and accuse them of attacking the Creeds in the parking lot, but they beg off, saying when they attack, everyone knows it. Legado suggest B&J did it themselves to avenge their tourney loss, but they say they couldn’t have because they’re the good guys.

Grayson Waller vs. LA Knight (Last Man Standing Match)

Brawling on the floor to start, Knight putting Waller into the steel steps, inside the ring for the first time, more boots, corner hip attack! Grayson turns the momentum around, clubbing blows, LA manages to throw him to the apron but he snaps Knight’s neck over the top rope and hits a rolling thunder neckbreaker!

Referee DA Brewer counting, Knight makes it up, Grayson up top but LA runs up and snaps off a superplex! Snapmare driver connects and Brewer counts but Waller gets to his feet and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Waller and Knight fighting atop some scaffolding... LA KNOCKS HIM OFF WITH A RIGHT HAND! LA goes to the floor and finds Sanga carrying his buddy and walks right into an apron chokeslam! Waller poses with handcuffs and we get an audio update on the Creeds, who are not medically cleared to compete and MSK have been given the title shot tonight.

LA gets the cuffs and handcuffs Sanga around the post! Whipping Grayson into the turnbuckles, jumping neckbreaker, scoop and a slam, snapmare driver blocked with a thumb to the eye and Waller goes out and comes back with a rolling thunder Ace Crusher... AND GETS CAUGHT AND SLAMMED OVER THE ROPES AND TO THE FLOOR!

Referee DA Brewer counts... BUT GRAYSON GETS UP! Knight with a chair, Waller begs off and he drops it briefly before landing a kick and putting a trash can on his head and wailing on him with the chair! Chairshots for Sanga for good measure, and Brewer starts his count again!

LA clears the announce table, but Waller has a blackjack and cuts him off! Grayson goes up top... DIVING ELBOW OFF THE TOP AND THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE DESK! Brewer counting, Waller makes it to his feet with the help of his bodyguard...

Grayson Waller wins by getting to his feet.

Bron Breakker cuts a promo backstage where he acknowledges that Ciampa and Ziggler have experience he doesn’t and he’s just a guy who shows up and busts ass every day, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, mamma mia spaghetti, it’s Tony D’Angelo.

He cuts a promo about making it to the top at Stand & Deliver and becoming the new don of NXT.

We see that Edris Enofe and Malik Blade have forcibly replaced Mandy Rose’s shirtless serving boys.

Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray vs. Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals)

Carter and Ray to start, jockeying for position, arm wringer into chops but Kayden fires back a big one of her own! O’Connor roll, reversed, tag to Catanzaro! Quick double-teams, Kacy reverses a powerbomb into a Hurricanrana for two! The match breaks down, all four women in the ring and fighting, spilling to the floor, dives from Kayden and Kacy and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Shirai is grinding Carter down but eats an arm drag. She rolls away from an elbow, duck under, Io tries to clear the apron but just eats a DDT! Kacy tags in, rolling X-Factor... NOPE! Whip reversed, boot up, Carter tags in, crescent kick from the apron, assisted moonsault but the knees are up!

Drop toehold gets Shirai back in the fight, Tiger feint kick connects! Io off the top, missile dropkick for two! The match breaks down into “everybody do something cool” territory, Carter gets a nearfall on KLR! A dropkick, a tag to Kacy, Kay reverses and she and Io get Catanzaro up in the turnbuckles.

Jockeying for position, Kayden knocks Shirai down, electric chair... ASSISTED POISON FRANKENSTEINER BUT IO BREAKS IT UP! KLR with a superkick, the KLR Bomb connects, tag to Shirai, off the top...

Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray win by pinfall with the diving moonsault from Shirai on Kacy Catanzaro.

Post-match, Cora Jade jumps Mandy Rose in her booth but Enofe and Blade pull them apart!

Backstage, Indi Hartwell is watching footage of her loss in the Dusty when Persia Pirotta and Duke Hudson roll up to talk about their weekend.

Indi is indignant about their loss but Persia is super into her relationship and lets it slip that she thinks that she carries their team, and they bicker about who’s better until Hudson tries to break it up. They agree to a match, Indi storms off and Duke offers to help train Persia, who takes him up on it by slamming him into a locker and smooching him.

We see MSK and Imperium walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Tiffany Stratton is interviewed.

She complains about Sarray telling her no and says next week she’s gonna break her face in addition to her necklace.

Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) (c) vs. MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) (NXT Tag Team Championship)

Barthel and Carter to start, headlock reversed to a headscissors to an ankle lock, Nash fights out with upkicks but Marcel just applies it to the other leg! Carter rolls through, up in the corner, diving Frankensteiner connects! We get some tags, Aichner with a vicious slam into the ropes to Lee!

Fabian grinding him down, tag to Carter, cravate dropkick for a nearfall and then we get a strike exchange, backslide for two! Whip across, catch the boot, Aichner with a vicious lariat and the tag! Front kick, whip into a knee and both men are down! Tags made, Wes running hot, charging forearm into an enzuigiri and then a moonsault and Barthell falls to the floor!

Tag to Carter, cannonball off the apron, Aichner hits a backbreaker on Lee but the Creeds show up and run in, attacking everyone...

The match goes to a no-contest, presumably.

Backstage, Draco Anthony is lifting while Harland watches all creepy like.

He gets up and turns to confront the big man but Joe Gacy says they come in peace and didn’t mean to interrupt his workout. He asks Draco to open himself up and let others into their life.

Xyon Quinn rolls up and says Draco is his own man and shouldn’t let them in his head, and live his own life. Gacy says that’s just what they want and they’ll be waiting.

We see Dolph Ziggler pacing and cutting a promo about how he’s about to screw everything up for everybody and asks for his music, the “good one”.

Dolph makes his entrance to send us to break.

Breakker suplexes both men at once! Right hands in the corner on Tom, he gets crotched and Ziggler knocks him to the floor!

Dolph blocks Fairytale Ending, jackknife pin for two! Sidestep the boot, big elbow from Ciampa! Double leg, upkick blocks, right hands in the corner! Whip across, slide low, Tom explodes out of the corner with a lariat, catapult into the corner! A tornillo takes Bron out on the floor and Ciampa is fired up on the apron!

Throwing both men back inside, off the ropes, corner lariats for both guys, Ziggler cuts him off with a dropkick and then Breakker drops him with a lariat as we go to break.

Back from commercial, Ziggler hammering away at Ciampa with mounted punches but Tom counters with a Manhattan Drop and Breakker hits a belly-to-belly suplex on him! Whip reversed, pop-up drop for Tom and the straps are down! Looking for the Steiner Recliner, locking it in but not falling back yet, and Dolph comes over and applies the sleeper hold on the champion!

Bron fades and drops Ciampa, Dolph still on his back, but he has the wherewithal to fall back and counter with a senton into Tom! Ziggler and Breakker trading right hands on their knees and to their feet, Ciampa joins in on the fun, Dolph with the Fameasser, Zig Zag... CIAMPA KICKS OUT!

The match breaks down, Tom with a knee... PROJECT CIAMPA! Underhooks, Bron breaks up Fairytale Ending with a spear! He blocks a Zig Zag, spear on Ziggler! Military press powerslam...
