WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 1

Nina Twin is trying to help, and I really hope that she succeeds. Though I picked the thorny path myself, I’m afraid of where it leads. Chemicals don’t strangle my pen, chemicals don’t make me sick again. I’m always so dubious of your intent, but I have to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

Bron Breakker & Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dirty Dawgz (Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode)

Breakker and Ciampa attack the Dawgz during their entrance! Brawling in the aisle, Tom does a tornillo and the babyfaces sit tall on the apron!

We get a bell, Ciampa and Ziggler legal, Tom working him over and making the tag. But Bron gets isolated and the Dawgz work him over at some length. Eventually Ciampa gets the tag and runs roughshod, double lariats taking the Dawgz out! The straps are down, Tom is fired up, front kick into Fairytale Ending but Roo rams him into the corner to block and send us to break.

Back from commercial, Dawgz in control but Ziggler gets dropped to the floor! Ciampa crawls for the tag but Roode pulls Breakker off the apron and throws him into the crowd! Dolph back in, leg pick, tag to Robert, putting boots to Tom. Powerbomb neckbreaker gets two!

Both men down and out, tags made, Bron in hot with shoulder blocks! Whip across, big lariat, duck a superkick, spear takes Ziggler out of his boots! Electric chair... ODE TO THE BULLDOGS BUT ROO BREAKS IT UP! Underhooks...

Bron Breakker & Tommaso Ciampa win by pinfall with Fairytale Ending from Ciampa on Dolph Ziggler.

We see footage of Carmelo Hayes and Pete Dunne arriving at the arena.

LA Knight cuts a promo about how we should call everyone we know, up to and including our sidepiece (listen pal none of my girls are sidepieces) because he’s about to make his entrance, and we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a promo from... sigh... GUNTHER on Solo Sikoa about how he’s gonna chop the tattoos off his body and replace them with respect.

LA Knight makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He recounts his feud with Grayson Waller to date—

Enter Grayson Waller, flanked by Sanga.

He crows about winning last week and LA says he might win but Knight always stays standing, and challenges Waller to a last man standing match. Grayson accepts!

We go backstage with Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta.

Indi accuses Persia of being unfocused, she says her eyes are on winning the Dusty, but when Hartwell leaves she dawdles and checks her phone.

Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo make their entrance to send us to break.

Dakota Kai & Wendy Choo vs. Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinal Match)

Pirotta and Choo to start, Persia blocks a drop toehold and draws her up, Wendy airplanes her way into a Shotei and grabs a side headlock, shot off, into the corner, tag to Hartwell. Choo gets her into the corner, tag to Kai, working her over, quick tags.

Persia back in, dropping Wendy with a boot, working her over briefly, we end up with Kai cleaning house on Indi, big flying mare sets up Team Kick! Pirotta with a fireman’s carry X-Factor... CHOO BREAKS IT UP! Dakota with a pump kick, tag to Wendy, up top, tag back, Vader Bomb sets her up...

Commentary promises us a tag title preview, after the break.

Lash Legend wins by pinfall with a slam.

Solo Sikoa is interviewed backstage and says he’s going to beat... sigh... GUNTHER.

GUNTHER makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commerciak, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen are hooting and hollering over something on Brooks’ phone when Elektra Lopez walks by and gives them a big “excuse me.”

Josh clarifies that they’re horny for a truck and when Elektra tells them she’s not into it, Jensen says joke’s on her, he’s never been with a real woman and boys, boys, just kiss already.

GUNTHER vs. Solo Sikoa

Brawling early, GUNTHER with elbows to the mush, Sikoa fires back with elbows of his own and the Ring General drops him with a lariat! Side headlock, grinding him down, shifting gears to a Boston Crab, targeting the back. Solo with forearms, off the ropes, big flying forearm, GUNTHER leaps his frog but runs right into a spinning wheel kick!

Powerbomb reversed into a Samoan drop, to the floor briefly, Sikoa in control, back inside, lying in wait and he drops the Austrian with a superkick... NOPE! Up top, GUNTHER rolls away from the diving splash, sleeper hold applied, Solo flags and the Ring General plants him with a powerbomb!

A second powerbomb...

GUNTHER wins by pinfall with a Tenryu Powerbomb.

Backstage, Dolph Ziggler is interviewed.

He says he’s seen the weaknesses and he wants his title shot against Bron Breakker next week.

Tommaso Ciampa rolls up to tell him he doesn’t deserve a title shot because he got pinned tonight, to which Dolph says he calls the shots.

Bron Breakker rolls up and Ziggler says he’s the roadblock and he can win and Tom probably thinks he can too. Breakker says he’ll kick both their asses, and Dolph is pleased by this.

Joe Gacy and Harland are being creepy in the woods.

Gacy says Harland gets to take care of Draco Anthony next.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta are despondent about their loss.

Persia blames herself but Indi says they win and lose as a team and they promise to get it next time.

Duke Hudson rolls up and gives Pirotta a big hug and walks off hand in hand with her, leaving Indi nervous because Dexter Lumis hasn’t texted her back.

Draco Anthony vs. Harland

Harland throwing Anthony around, forcing him to the floor for a breather. Palming him by the hair back up to the apron but Draco snaps his arm over the top rope and goes to work. Knocking the big man off his feet with a shoulder block, cover for a nearfall.

Harland smashes his face into the mat over and over...

Harland wins by pinfall with a back suplex slam.

Post-match, Harland draws Anthony up for a hug.

Carmelo Hayes is interviewed backstage.

He says he makes history and the question won’t be who’s next, it’ll be who’s left.

Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Ivy Nile is working out when Tatum Paxley walks up to apologize.

Nile says last week was just a taste, and if she wants to be part of Diamond Mine, she’ll learn the hard way.

Jade and Leon to start, quick tag out to Gonzalez when she gets flustered. Tag to Feroz, Raquel throws her in the corner and goes to work with quick tags! Tag to Leon, big assisted dive sets up a tope con giro and they’re fired up! Back inside, Jade slips out of a powerbomb from Yulisa but gets caught by the snap scoop powerslam for two!

Missile dropkick gets two, looking for a half crab but Cora kicks her way out of it and tags are made! Feroz with a crossbody, caught and countered into a fallaway slam! Duck a lariat, Raquel grabs her and clubs her down, drawing her up and hitting the one-arm powerbomb!

Cora tags in...

Cora Jade & Raquel Gonzalez win by pinfall with an assisted splash on Valentina Feroz.

Sarray is backstage showing off her grandma’s brooch when Tiffany Stratton rolls up to call it tacky and offer her a better one.

Sarray isn’t interested, so Stratton throws her into a loading door and screams about how nobody says no to her. The other women rally around Sarray and run her off.

Andre Chase makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get a Tony D’Angelo vignette talking up WrestleMania weekend and saying that Stand and Deliver will be his showcase and he’ll become a made man.

Andre Chase vs. Von Wagner

Chase in with punches, kicks and chops, whip reversed, Wagner catches him but Andre slips out and keeps the strikes coming! Von scoops him up and throws him into the corner for shoulder thrusts. Falling elbows, boots, smashing Chase’s head into the mat and dropping him with a big boot as he rises!

Corner lariat follows, a biel, Chase starts putting a rally together, shoulder kneebreaker, putting boots to Wagner, action to the floor, Andre checks on Bodhi Hayward and the time is enough for Von to deck him when he comes back...

Von Wagner wins by pinfall with a Death Valley Driver.

Carmelo Hayes makes his entrance to send us to break.

Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Pete Dunne (NXT North American Championship)

Back from commercial, Dunne is in control with an armbar on the mat. Hayes fights to his feet and throws some forearms to get out of it, Pete trading with gusto, German suplex reversed into a half-crab! But Dunne rolls through and kicks out of it, boots up in the corner, enzuigiri connects from the champion!

Pete with an enzuigiri of his own, but a little interference from Trick Williams gets the Hayes a bunch of stomps. Ballin’, setting up an arm-trap neck crank, shifting to forearms and Dunne cracks one back across his jaw! Double knees across the injred elbow, a double stomp to the hands misses and Carmelo springboards... RIGHT INTO AN ELBOW STRIKE TO THE JAW FOR A NEARFALL!

Crash Landing, Hayes lands on his feet and hits a Codebreaker... SO CLOSE! Leg pick kick to the arm, Carmelo blocks the Penalty Kick, hits the Scissors Kick but Dunne kicks out! La Mistica reversed into Bitter End but Pete is slow to capitalize and Hayes rolls away!

Triangle choke applied, bending the fingers, pulling himself into the ropes where Hayes counters with a catapult! Off the ropes, La Mistica works this time into the arm-trap crossface! Pete breaks the hold by wishboning the fingers, pumphandle, Bitter End reversed, Final Cut connects!

Hayes goes up top, Pete cuts him off, Williams up on the apron and Dunne wishbones his fingers too! Jockeying for position, Carmelo knocks him down and perches...

Carmelo Hayes wins by pinfall with the diving guillotine leg drop to retain the NXT North American Championship.

Post-match, Carmelo Hayes gets on the mic and promises us a NXT North American Championship ladder match at Stand and Deliver.

That’s the show, folks.
