With Survivor Series: War Games in the rearview mirror, WWE started laying the groundwork for the future of the Raw women’s championship on Monday Night Raw this week in the form of a mini tournament. Two separate triple threat matches were booked, with the winners scheduled to meet next week to determine who will be next in line to challenge Bianca Belair for her title.
The first match saw Bayley, who has been the primary challenger for months now, taking on Rhea Ripley, who has long been flirting with taking over, and Asuka, who has been relegated to the tag team division in recent times.
The second match saw Becky Lynch, who just returned and is always a threat to run the division, taking on Alexa Bliss, who has been teasing a big turn soon, and Nikki Cross, who just recently ditched her superhero schtick in favor of her more unhinged self.
In the end, Bayley and Alexa Bliss emerged victorious, thanks in part to Damage CTRL taking Lynch out of the match and paving the way for Bliss to pin Cross.
so it’s Bayley vs. Bliss next week, winner gets Belair.
