WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 29
The city, it calls to me, decadent scenes from my memory. Sorrow, eternity, my demons are coming to drown me, but first I’m going to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with entrances for our opener.
Indi Hartwell vs. Roxanne Perez
Hartwell in control, side headlock, wristlock, roll through, back to a wristlock, off the ropes, Perez lands a satellite tijeras! Indi runs the ropes to knock her out of the turnbuckles, airplane spin sets up Snake Eyes! Roxanne sidesteps and hops on her back for a sleeper hold!
Up in the turnbuckles again, Hartwell knocks her to the floor but she beats the count! Indi kicking away at her, getting nearfalls, side slam sets up a reverse chinlock. Russian legsweep reversed, headlock takeover and Roxanne charges in with an uppercut! Getting herself back in the fight, sidestep, roll under, back elbows!
Indi with a kick, whip to the corner, up and over, headscissors into the turnbuckles! Off the ropes with a double axehandle, another one, a low dropkick, corner uppercut! To the floor and back in, Perez up top, diving crossbody but Hartwell rolls through with a deadlift!
Roxanne reverses to an inside cradle for two! Indi with a big boot, laying in wait and Perez kicks her in the teeth! Rolling solebutt, hopping over...
Roxanne Perez wins by pinfall with Pop Rox.
We see “Heartbreak Man” Shawn Michaels convening with his panel of legends to pick the entrants to the Iron Survivor matches.
We get footage of Andre Chase hanging out backstage when Thea Hail and Duke Hudson roll up.
Chase says he just wanted a change of scenery and Hudson falls over himself apologizing for kicking Andre in the face and offers to take a resume to the Iron Survivor panel and make Chase’s case.
Grayson Waller comes up and talks some trash and sets off Thea, who goes feral and Duke has to hold her back. Andre says he’s gonna go whoop Grayson’s ass, but Hudson tells him he’ll take care of him.
Dante Chen vs. Donovan Dijak
Dijak here is billed by just his last name, but like most of the time when wrestlers go one-named, I’m going to use both for the sake of not repeating myself “Dijak did this and Dijak did that” style all match.
Not that I need to tonight, because this is a squash, of course. Chen gets a nice little hope spot out of taking Donovan to the floor but he immediately gets wrecked back in the ring...
Donovan Dijak wins by pinfall with Feast Your Eyes.
Post-match, he gets on the mic and talks about how that was an example of hard justice and unrelenting annihilation, and the only thing you see in his eyes is the infliction of suffering. This is a place of refuge, but not for him, he didn’t come here to reinvent or discover himself, he came to eviscerate a soft society, and any man that stands in his way will be brought to justice...
...his justice.
JD McDonagh rolls up into the Diamond Mine dojo and offers his help against Indus Sher, but the Creed Brothers say they’re gonna have a fair fight. JD rambles about bone density (what’s next, he’s gonna start in about gametes?) but the Creeds have no use for him.
We go back with “Heartbreak Man” Shawn Michaels and his panel— the Road Dogg Jesse James, X-Pac, Molly Holly, and Alundra Blayze.
HBM wants to look at who on the roster has had the best year overall, and not just based on win/loss records. Molly talks about how young most of the roster is in wrestling, and Road Dogg makes the first pitch, for Carmelo Hayes. Everybody talks about what a star he is and Shawn admits he’d be hard-pressed to leave him out of the match.
Alundra talks up Tony D’Angelo but HBM says he’s probably still a couple weeks away from being cleared. Joe Gacy comes up on the radar and Jesse pitches Von Wagner but Pac doesn’t think he should be in. Both of them agree Axiom deserves a shot but he’s probably not going to be cleared in time either.
Wagner hasn’t won a signature match or made a connection with the crowd to get in, and they move on to Grayson Waller, putting over his bonafides as a heel.
Michaels suggests they write five men down each and move on to the women later.
Grayson Waller makes his entrance and we go to break.
Duke Hudson vs. Grayson Waller
Hudson hot out the gates, side headlock, working it in by kneeling on alternate legs, Waller reverses, handful of hair blocks the shoot off! Talking trash, Duke gets away, lariats set up a side slam and Grayson rolls to the floor! Back inside, choking Hudson in the ropes, applying a cravate and throwing knees!
Waller up top, diving elbow misses, Hudson getting fired up, right hands clobber Grayson, body slam, corner lariat, overhead belly-to-belly suplex! A little Flip, Flop, & Fly and Waller crashes to the floor! Duke around the corner with a boot, Grayson dodges but he stops himself short of running Thea Hail over!
Hudson reassures her he can stop it whenever he needs to, Andre Chase is mad about it, and Waller catches Duke when he comes back in...
Grayson Waller wins by pinfall.
Javier Bernal is interviewed backstage.
He says Christmas is his favorite time of year and he’s gonna give NXT what they need— Big Body Tuesday! Whip out those credit cards because he’s got merch to sell! A Big Body baseball bat, a Big Body body pillow, and finally men want to be him, women want to be with him (nope no thanks love the character but I’m a t4t lesbian pally no way now how), so you can smell like him with Big Body cologne! Apparently it stinks like rotten eggs.
Axiom rolls up and says he’s heard that Javi wants to fight him and now he’s cleared to compete!
Fallon Henley vs. Kiana James
Henley with a shove and screaming, collar and elbow, struggling into the ropes, breaking briefly and right back into it as we go to break!
Back from commercial, Henley with a dropkick, whip blocked, James with the momentum, grounded keylock, Fallon out, back elbow from the corner and a kick combo! Big right hands, a lariat, arm wringer and a clothesline... NOPE! Henley to the floor for a right hand, knocking Kiana to the floor!
James runs aorund ringside and grabs her bag to hide behind! She throws it at Henley and gets a cheap shot in before posting her in the corner! Charging in...
Kiana James wins by pinfall with the jumping reverse STO, apparently called 401(k).
Backstage, Odyssey Jones and Edris Enofe are trying to give Malik Blade a pep talk about the sweater vest that Von Wagner destroyed. He says it was his dad’s, the last thing he gave to him, and that he’s gonna use his agression against him tonight, by himself, on his own terms.
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, we go back to “Heartbreak Man” and his panel to talk about the women’s Iron Survivor match.
Alundra Blayze stumps for Roxanne Perez given her development lately. Road Dogg talks up Zoey Stark as an impressive athlete and Molly Holly says the internet thinks Indi Hartwell but they all agree that she’s missing an element of self-confidence. X-Pac says Cora Jade wants that top spot more than anybody, but Jesse would rather have Fallon Henley in the match.
X-Pac says he goes Kiana James over Henley after her victory tonight. Molly Holly brings up Alba Fyre as the best worker on the roster. Shawn thanks everybody for their help and asks them to write their five women down so he can make the big decisions.
We get babyface entrances for our trios match but Zoey Stark cuts Nikkita Lyons’ legs out from under her during her entrance and kicks her leg out of her leg until referees pull her away!
Toxic Attraction laugh about her in the wings.
We get a half-subtitled video package for Lyra Valkyria.
Elektra Lopez is interviewed backstage.
She says Indi Hartwell is the heart of the division, and if she takes out the heart, she takes the division.
Axiom vs. Javier Bernal
Axiom with a snapmare into a reverse chinlock, big arm drag out of the corner, a kick sends Bernal to the floor and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Axiom has a Fujiwara armbar, Javi to his feet, right hands, he kicks the luchador in the ropes and trips him up! Posting his leg a couple times, pressing the attack back in the ring, but eventually Axiom gets a triangle choke and sinks it in with elbows!
Bernal to his feet, deadlift powerbomb counters and gets him a nearfall! Javi with a figure four leglock, Axiom rolls over and reverses the pressure but Bernal gets the ropes! Whip across, big dropkick, corner kick and Axiom goes up top, springboard lariat connects!
Slapping life back into the injured knee, but Big Body Javi sidesteps the kick and hits a DDT... NOPE! Axiom lines him up...
Axiom wins by pinfall with the Golden Ratio.
Backstage, Nikkita Lyons is in the trainer’s office and she gets cleared.
She’s ready to go!
JD McDonagh makes his entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get another Apollo Crews journalling vignette but this time Bron Breakker shows up for a chat.
They go back and forth on their match at Deadline, and Crews claims he’s the only guy that can beat Breakker. Bron says he’s sitting across from a guy with the exact same skills, and they part ways amicably.
JD McDonagh vs. Julius Creed
Creed right in looking for a takedown, roll through, waistlock, McDonagh wants a leg pick but Julius stays on him and they end up in the ropes. Ducking a dirty break, Creed gets caught by an elbow to the kidneys and a side headlock on the mat. Back on his feet, shoot off blocked, back suplex connects but JD won’t let go of the headlock!
A second suplex reversed into a headlock takeover, Creed gets him with a slam and then biels him across the ring! A hip toss, a straight suplex, a lariat sends McDonagh to the floor! Around the ring, JD trips him up on the apron and sends him crashing to the floor with a dropkick as we go to break.
Back from commercial, McDonagh is wrenching a bodyscissors in as Indus Sher have come to ringside to watch the match. Creed posts to his feet and counters with a senton! Lariats and forearms, delayed vertical, JD counters with knees but Julius hangs in there and deadlifts him back up and completes the suplex!
Cartwheel slam, out and back in, drop down, leapfrog, off the ropes, belly-to-belly suplex, shove into the corner, pass to the apron, low bridge sends Creed to the floor! Julius pops up to the apron, looking for a German suplex, McDonagh levels him with an elbow and follows it with a moonsault to the floor!
Back inside, folding Creed’s leg up, he fights back with an elbow and gets to his feet, leg pick, JD to the floor and he smashes Julius’ knee into the apron! He grabs a chair and swings it but one of the Indus Sher guys steps in the way and shoves Julius, triggering the disqualification!
Julius Creed wins by disqualification.
We get an Isla Dawn vignette.
In the parking lot, Tony D’Angelo and Stacks roll up on Dijak to try and get him onside and doing favors for the Family and while he’s not into favors they come to an understanding.
Malik Blade vs. Von Wagner
Blade in hot, punches in the corner, Wagner shoves him aside and slams him! Off the ropes, knee drop comes up empty, whip reversed, Malik with a falling lariat! Dropkick to keep Von off-balance and send him crashing to the floor! Blade follows after and smashes him into the apron, right hands, into the table, back inside and Wagner lands a knee to stabilize!
Malfunction at the junction, Blade gets a two count, cut off by a knee, back in with a scoop and a slam, up top, frog splash... THE KNEES ARE UP! Von picks him up...
Von Wagner wins by pinfall with the fireman’s carry neckbreaker.
Post-match, Wagner goes to keep attacking Blade but Edris Enofe and Odyssey Jones run down to make the save!
“Heartbreak Man” Shawn Michaels announces our Iron Survivor entrants.
For the men’s match: Carmelo Hayes, JD McDonagh, Grayson Waller, Joe Gacy, and a man to be determined next week in a wildcard match.
For the women’s match: Zoey Stark, Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez, Kiana James, and a woman to be determined next week in a wildcard match.
Toxic Attraction make their entrance and send us to break.
Back from commercial, commentary hypes up next week’s show.
Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, & Nikkita Lyons vs. Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne, & Mandy Rose)
Jayne and Chance to start, Katana hits a dropkick to stalemate and all six women hit the ring and brawl! Heels to the floor, fountain of dives from the tag champs, babyfaces stand tall before going to the floor and bringing Jacy back in! Tags made, Carter working Rose over, Toxics isolate her and work her over with quick tags.
Kayden gets away, tag to Katana, slide past, X-Factor, Dolin turns her around but Lyons makes the save! The match breaks down, everybody’s down and out, Gigi with an STO on Chance, cover for two! Boot up, Scorpion Kick from Carter, flipping slam... NOPE!
Carter up top, neckbreaker position, Jacy makes the save and Mandy hits a press slam out of the corner! Tag to Rose, overrotated back suplex, Katana sidesteps the knee, schoolboy for two! Codebreaker connects but Chance can’t capitalize! Tag to Nikkita, roundhouse kick, German suplex, but Jayne and Dolin take advantage of the injured knee after a kick goes awry...
Toxic Attraction win by pinfall with a Total Elimination from Gigi and Jacy on Nikkita Lyons.
Zoey Stark appears in the crowd to gloat.
That’s the show, folks.
