We know all the words of power, all about the witching hour. We know the reason why you’re scared, and here comes your nightmare, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a video package themed around a spelling bee hosted by Paul Heyman wherein a child is asked to spell extreme.
Brawling Brutes (Pete “Butch” Dunne, Ridge Holland, & Sheamus) vs. Imperium (Giovanni Vinci, GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser) (Good Old-Fashioned Donnybrook Match)
All out chaos around the ring and the ringside area, Kaiser gets lawn darted into an enzuigiri from Butch and he follows it up with a shillelagh-assisted Tree of Woe dropkick! GUNTHER in the ring to clear house and come to Ludwig’s rescue! Imperium with the turnaround, standing tall and kicking Dunne off the turnbuckles!
Kaiser clears a bar on the floor, Imperium beating on Sheamus right in front of it before hurling him into the steel steps! Pete dives off the steps and gets caught and beat down in front of the barricade! Chops and a beatdown on Sheamus in front of the bar, back inside to work Holland and Dunne over!
Imperial Bomb on the floor takes Ridge down and Butch is the only Brute standing! He quickly finds himself overwhelmed and Imperium stand tall in the ring, hands behind their back! Sheamus fires up and knocks the bar over and takes it to Imperium one-by-one!
One-on-one with GUNTHER, chest still raw from the beating he took last night on SmackDown, they trade forearms in the middle of the ring! Big German suplex takes the Celtic Warrior down, he comes back with a lariat, whip across, big boot connects but he plants the Ring General with a tilt-a-whirl slam after!
Beats of the Bodhran ensue, and Holland and Dunne pop up on the apron to join the beating! Brogue Kick takes GUNTHER down but Vinci dives off the top to break it up! Brawling with Ridge, whip reversed, catch the boot, big lariat takes him off his feet! Kaiser dives into a right hand from Butch!
GUNTHER takes Peter and Ridge out with a single dropkick but eats the Irish Curse afterwards! Cloverleaf applied, the Ring General crawling for the ropes but he doesn’t make it and Ludwig slides in to crack a shillelagh across the Celtic Warrior’s back! Holland and Dunne make the save!
Brawling, both teams end up down at opposite sides of the ring, into “everybody do something cool” territory and then the action goes to the floor! Clearing the announce table, Imperium set Sheamus up but Ridge makes the save! They brawl with him, Dunne off a barrel... MOONSAULT WIPES EVERYBODY OUT!
GUNTHER looking for the powerbomb but Butch works his fingers and Holland helps hold him down... SHEAMUS CRACKS THE SHILLELAGH ACROSS GUNTHER! Sheamus has GUNTHER up... CELTIC CROSS THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Back inside, Brutes have Vinci and the Celtic Warrior calls for it...
Brawling Brutes win by pinfall with a Brogue Kick from Sheamus on Giovanni Vinci.
We get a Bianca Belair video package.
The Miz is interviewed backstage.
He still doesn’t want to talk about Dexter Lumis and reminds us that he’s the most must-see WWE Superstar and he who shall not be named clearly made it clear that he’s ruining his birthday celebration on Monday, so Miz is here to talk to Triple H about that.
He gets distracted and walks off, and runs into Gritty. He asks Gritty what he’s doing given that there’s no hockey tonight, and Gritty tries to give him a t-shirt. Miz scoffs and stomps his shirt and says that’s what he thinks of him, his team, and his city.
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey (WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Extreme Rules Match)
Rousey slings Morgan away from her bat, big knee lift, cutthroat Chikara special reversed into a pin and Liv gets the bat! Ronda takes her down and grabs the bat, stalking after her before throwing the bat outside of the ring! Morgan with right hands, attempted springboard cut off with a knee lift and into the ankle lock!
Liv throws her to the apron, big knee, off the ropes, baseball slide but Rousey traps her in the ring skirt and lights her up with palm strikes! Digging around under the ring while Ronda grabs the bat, Morgan comes up with a fire extinguisher! Rousey is able to get her with bat shots to the midsection and thigh!
Back inside, duck the swing, enzuigiri takes Ronda out! Liv grabs her bat and returns the shots! To the floor, Rousey throws her gi in Morgan’s face and whips her with her black belt before strapping her to the ringpost with it! Repeated vicious bat shots to the thigh but Liv smashes her into the apron.
Back inside, stomping at Ronda’s hip, setting a table up but Rousey turns her around and chokes her in the ropes! Big knee strike, both women fall to the floor and the brawling continues! Back inside, Liv with a lungblower and then a surfboard stomp into the post!
Wailing on Ronda with a chair, chasing her around the ring, throwing it in her face and hitting a chair-assisted Codebreaker... NOPE! Setting the table up the rest of the way, she puts Rousey on it and climbs up top... DIVING SENTON THROUGH THE TABLE BUT RONDA WON’T STAY DOWN!
Rousey gets the armbar but Liv keeps her hands clasped and posts on her feet, deadlift powerbomb through part of the table... STILL NO! Ronda switching her grip, Morgan won’t break her clasp and lifts her up again, Rousey reverses...
Ronda Rousey wins the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship by referee stoppage with a short armscissors.
Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross (Strap Match)
Kross doesn’t want to have the strap but referee Jessika Carr insists. He throws it away on the second try and Scarlett yanks on the strap and Karrion stomps a mudhole in McIntyre in the corner! Beating Drew up on the floor, throwing him over the barricade, following after and brawling with him!
Back to ringside, McIntyre connects with a suplex and smashes Kross face-first into announce desk, apron, and ringpost! APRON BACKBREAKER! Drew takes him inside and puts the strap on his wrist and we get a bell! Whipping Karrion with the strap, going to the floor, he puts McIntyre hard into the post shoulder-first a couple times!
Calling Drew a stupid son of a bitch, stomping away, pulling his shoulder into the post, back inside... DIVORCE COURT! Back to the floor again, reverse STO puts McIntyre into the table and he follows it up with repeated vicious whips with the strap! Back inside, Saito Suplex... NOPE!
Whipping Drew some more, he rises up stern and violent and drops Karrion with a series of lariats and a belly-to-belly suplex! Jumping neckbreaker, kip-up, spinebuster... STILL NO! Trading right hands with abandon and increasing speed! Moving to trading whips with the strap, McIntyre gets the better of him and hits Future Shock!
Counting down, Scarlett slides in the ring to get in the way! Drew walks around her and she sprays him in the face with something or other! Kross from behind...
Karrion Kross wins by pinfall with an elbow strike.
We see Miz talking on the phone about how he hasn’t gotten a chance to speak to HHH yet when he runs into Gritty again and yells at our beloved orange abomination.
Bayley vs. Bianca Belair (c) (WWE Raw Women’s Championship Ladder Match)
Punches out the gates, off the ropes, double crossbody and both women are down and out! Both set ladders up at the same time, Bianca’s is bigger so Bayley shifts to trying to steal it and folds her own ladder up but Belair clocks her with it and climbs! Bayley cuts her off, brawling on the floor, the Role Model jawing at some fans as she does some hardcore Feng Shui with ladders.
She catapults Bianca onto a ladder but she climbs and goes back inside, climbing the ladder under the title, but Bayley cuts her off! Whip to the corner, moonsault up and over, back up the ladder and Belair hops off when she gets accosted while climbing! Throwing Bayley into the ladder, folding it up, but the Role Model gets her trapped in the corner and wails on her with punches!
Leaning the ladder in the corner, Bayley with a sunset flip powerbomb into the steel! Bayley rams her with a ladder some more, but Bianca rolls away to the floor after a few shots! The Role Model puts a ladder across barricade and steel steps, smashing Belair into the ladder and setting the champion atop it... DIVING ELBOW ON THE LADDER!
Bianca hammering her with fists, Bayley cuts her off and puts her in a ladder, looking to sandwich her in the steel but Belair rolls away and avoids the impact! Back inside, setting a tall ladder up, Bayley’s right behind her and she gets spinebustered into the mat!
Belair climbing, Bayley kicks her down! Bayley breaks off the metal hinge from her knee brace and tries to blobber Bianca with a running knee strike... KOD COUNTERS! Ladder set back up, Belair climbs, reaching, hands on the title... BUT DAMAGE CTRL ARE HERE AND TIP THE LADDER OVER TO KNOCK HER DOWN!
Beating the champion down, she pops up and gets them both on her shoulders... DOUBLE KOD CONNECTS! Bayley back in, Roseplant connects and she sets the ladder up, trapping Bianca under the legs of the ladder, she climbs... BUT BELAIR USES HER STRENGTH TO PUSH THE LADDER OVER AND SEND BAYLEY CRASHING INTO THE ROPES!
Getting the ladder upright, brawling on top of it, Bayley has a handful of braid and pulls Bianca face-first into the ladder! Climbing, Belair gets under her and whips her with her braid! Getting Bayley up while she’s holding a ladder... KOD ONTO THE LADDER!
The path is clear, Bianca climbs and gets hands on the belt...
Bianca Belair wins, retaining the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
Edge vs. Finn Balor (“I Quit” Match)
Edge with headbutts and knees in the corner, whip across, back elbow lays him out! Choking Balor in the corner, clawing at his face and referee Chad Patton does his first check of the match, but Finn won’t quit. Whip across, Balor with a low dropkick, stomps to the back of the knee!
Figure four leglock applied, Edge won’t quit and he rolls over to reverse the pressure! Finn struggles and rolls him back over to regain control of the hold! Breaking, taking Edge into the ring skirt for a beatdown and follows it up with a Sling Blade on the floor but the Rated-R Superstar won’t stay down!
Out into the crowd, Edge gets a hockey stick from the set and uses it to attack the Prinxe! Beating him down on the steps fighting into the entry to the concourse, Finn turns things around and throws Edge around but he won’t quit! Edge pops him up into the concrete archway and Balor collapses!
Finn manages to compose himself enough to crotch Edge into the guardrail on the steps, crossface over the steel but the Rated-R Superstar won’t give! Back to the ringside area, Balor rams a chair into his ribs and sends him back into the ring! Hammering him with the chair again and again but Edge still won’t quit!
Working holds, arm-trap crossface, Edge powers up and throws Finn into a chair wedged in the turnbuckles! He gets the chair and wallops Balor’s knee a couple times, ramming it, applying an Edgecator in the middle of the ring but Damian Priest runs down! Edge sends him running but Damian Mysterio is also there and pulls Finn out of the ring!
EDGE SPEARS ALL THREE OF THEM THROUGH THE ROPES! Dommy mommy Rhea Ripley handcuffs Edge to the top rope! Judgment Day light on him and beat him down! Whipping Edge with kendo sticks, Rey Mysterio makes the save but Dominik beats his dad up and stomps his head in!
Beth Phoenix makes the save this time, wailing on Judgment Day with a kendo stick, breaking it over Damian’s back and sending Dom running! She turns and faces Rhea and they fight, Beth running Ripley off with a spear! Phoenix has the key and unlocks the cuffs! A spear for Priest, Dominik begs off and offers a handshake and Edge kicks him in the gentleman’s area for it!
Turning around, Finn hits a Sling Blade and then Edge regroups and spears him! Phoenix passes Edge a chair and he kicks out the support strut, applying a crossface with the bar involved! Rhea attacks Beth, Edge breaks the hold to save his wife but Damian takes him out with South of Heaven as Ripley reveals her brass knuckles!
Judgment Day hold Edge down for one Coup de Grace, a second, a third, Finn grabs the mic and demands he say it! The Rated-R Superstar breathes hard but tells him to go to hell! Rhea threatens Beth, Priest with a right hook, Judgment Day holding him in place while Ripley gets some chairs.
They give him one final chance as they slide a chair under Phoenix’s head, Rhea has the Con-Chair-To cued up... EDGE QUITS!
Finn Balor wins by verbal submission.
Post-match, Finn demands he say it again, Edge complies... AND RHEA HITS THE CON-CHAIR-TO ANYWAY!
Beth remains lifeless on the mat while medics are called.
A Charlotte Flair vignette follows.
Miz runs into Gritty again and once again the orange abomination offers a t-shirt, but this time Miz beats him down and yells at him to stay out of his business. He cleans himself up and turns to see Dexter Lumis behind him! Lumis chokes him out with the head-and-arm triangle and helps Gritty to his feet.
Gritty gives Miz a swift kick in the ribs and walks off together with Lumis.
Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins (FIGHT PIT Match)
Triangle right hand from Riddle early on, raining punches down, catching guest referee Daniel Cormier with an elbow and DC pulls him off and admonishes him, letting Rollins get in there with a knee! Knees against the cage, flying triangle from Matt but a thumb to the eye gets Seth the break!
Smashing Riddle’s face into the cage wall, Cormier checks on him and Rollins pulls DC off and gets admonished by him in turn! Hammering Riddle against the cage, Seth demands a standing ten count and Daniel obliges. Count of eight, Matt on his feet, back elbow and a superkick rocks him!
A basement superkick follows it up and again Rollins demands the count! Seth climbs the cage for a frog splash and again demands the count. Kawada kicks follow, Riddle comes back with an RKO and both men are down! Cormier counting again, they beat the count, trading strikes, Matt with some Bati-Bati palm strike action and another RKO but Seth blocks it and hits a Blackout!
More counting, Seth wants an avalanche Blackout but Riddle has it scouted and grabs an electric chair. Rollins climbs up the cage and to the upper platform to escape, Matt climbs to join him and bites him before grabbing a sleeper on one of the chains! Seth pulls him into the chain a couple times and smashes him into the cage wall!
Buckle bomb into the cage wall! Seth follows it up with a Pedigree on the platform but DC can’t issue the count when they’re up on the platform! Looking for Blackout but Riddle sidesteps and Rollins crashes to the mat after an RKO! CORKSCREW MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP AND BOTH MEN ARE DOWN!
Triangle applied, Seth gets up, stampeding Riddle with powerbombs, but Matt won’t break the hold! DC calls it!
Matt Riddle wins by referee stoppage with a triangle choke.
Post-match we get the “show’s over” bug and the lights go out, commentary asking if the show is in fact over.
A voice singing “He’s got the whole world in his hands” comes over the PA.
We see Huskus the Pig, Mercy the Buzzard, Ramblin’ Rabbit, and Abby the Witch as full-sized people scattered through the crowd.
THE FIEND IS IN THE FRONT ROW! The camera pans across the Firefly Funhouse, deserted and left to rot, and a new masked figure appears on the television screen, crackling with static and speaking in a distorted voice that’s completely unintelligible.
A doorway is on the stage, with light shining through the cracks.
The door opens and the lights go out again.
A figure carrying Bray Wyatt’s old lantern and wearing the new mask appears in the door and steps through. He pulls the mask off... IT’S BRAY WYATT! HE’S HERE! He blows the lantern out and a graphic of an upside-down death’s head moth in a red circle appears on the screen.
