NXT’s rebrand starts with wedding bells & a Women’s championship match

Plus the Fatal 4Way to determine Samoa Joe’s next challenger, and more lights & color, presumably.

We don’t know what the Capitol Wrestling Center will look like next week when the rebranded NXT launches with its Sept. 14 episode. But we know several things that will take place on the show.

Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis’ wedding is set for the show, with “Papa” Johnny Gargano seemingly on-board after Lumis helped him win a bunch of games during last night’s bachelor & bachelorette party skits.

The other addition to the card is a Women’s title match. Franky Monet (fka Taya Valkyrie) debuted on NXT by stepping to Raquel González shortly after González won the belt back in April. She’ll finally get her chance to take the strap next Tuesday.

The card will also include a #1 contenders match, with Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, LA Knight & Tommaso Ciampa battling in a Fatal 4way for the right to challenge Samoa Joe for the NXT championship.

Sound like a good way to start a revamp?
