Raw may feel mostly repetitive, but, for the most part, this week’s show was about moving forward. With the exception of Sheamus once again booking a match with Damian Priest for the U.S. title by beating old rival Drew McIntyre, this show made clear we’re getting a new direction everywhere else.
- Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax finished up whatever weirdness they had, and now Flair will be wrestling Alexa Bliss for the Raw women’s championship while Jax is on a collision course with her longtime tag team partner, Shayna Baszler.
- Bobby Lashley is now fully tied up in Randy Orton’s business, having agreed to a WWE championship match with him at Extreme Rules but also earning a tag team title shot alongside MVP on Raw next week.
- With The Miz gone, John Morrison was left to carry the day with Karrion Kross on “Moist TV” before putting him over in a match.
- Nikki A.S.H. & Rhea Ripley are the next top contenders in the women’s tag team division.
- Drake Maverick showed up and he wants to get the 24/7 championship back.
Whether or not you agree with the direction, Raw is at least moving forward.
