Bobby Lashley & MVP are next to challenge for the Raw tag team titles

@WWE

The main storyline WWE chose to push on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was RK-Bro and the quest to find the next challengers for their Raw tag team titles. The show opened with a promo from the current champs, which somehow resulted in Randy Orton getting booked in a WWE championship match at Extreme Rules. But it also put Bobby Lashley & MVP in the Tag Team Turmoil match to determine the aforementioned next challengers.

That match then kicked off the show proper and featured The New Day starting off with The Viking Raiders and gradually working their way through each and every team until T-BAR and MACE responded to getting eliminated by laying out not just Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods but the next team in the match, Mansoor & Mustafa Ali. That led Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to delay the remainder of the match until the main event.

There, The New Day finally ran into a task too tall, as they fell to former champions AJ Styles & Omos. That left just Lashley & MVP, who were out to tussle with Styles & Omos for the right to wrestle RK-Bro for the straps.

It broke down into an absolute melee, with Orton & Riddle getting involved from ringside, but it was Lashley and MVP who walked away the victors when all was said and done, as Lashley pinned Styles after a spear.

Corey Graves mentioned the tag title match taking place next week.
