WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Sept. 6, 2021) from the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida, featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for later this month in Columbus.

Advertised for tonight: Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax will run it back this week, only this time with the Raw women’s title on the line, Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus with the winner earning a U.S. championship match, a Tag Team Turmoil match to determine who is next for RK-Bro and the Raw tag team titles, and more!

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the Raw live blog will kick off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here. (REMINDER: NO GIFS OR PICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED.)

Full speed ahead now, you’re never lookin’ back, turn up your radio, and the music will attack just like a dinosaur, get out of the way. You’ve got the guts and energy, to blow them all away, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show and yearn at my girls.

The show opens with a video package from the tag team division hyping up tag team turmoil tonight.

RK-Bro make their entrance and get on the mic.

Randy Orton says last week Bobby Lashley and MVP tried to take the titles off of them and failed miserably, because Bob is a greedy son of a bitch. That brings us to tonight, because they’re going to look at the seven teams remaining on Raw and see which team deserves to be next in line to be beaten by RK-Bro.

Matt Riddle puts their potential challengers over and suggests that they get masks and be the Snake and Stallion Express, or maybe sweet jackets like Mansoor and Mustafa Ali, and he’ll have his mom cut the sleeves off of Randy’s. He keeps talking about ale and munchies and pancakes and musical instruments, Orton increasingly despairing, until—

Enter Bobby Lashley, flanked by Montel Vontavious Porter as usual.

MVP tells Riddle to shut his dumb ass up and says the WWE Universe loses IQ points with every second they listen to him ramble on. What he needs to worry about is this juggernaut that’s gonna rip Randy’s head off after that cowardly RKO last week. Bob agrees that it was cowardly and asks Orton to face him like a man, one-on-one, so he can wrench those shoulders out of socket in the Hurt Lock.

Randy thinks about it a moment and says it sounds interesting and he was just thinking a couple weeks ago that it’s been ten or fifteen years since they wrestled, and he’ll accept on one condition... the WWE Championship has to be on the line! Montel pulls his man aside, and accepts... at Extreme Rules.

Bob says they’re gonna go back to five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce and see about getting added to the tag team turmoil.

New Day make their entrance and cut a promo as well.

Viking Raiders make their entrance and we go to break.

AJ Styles & Omos vs. Extinction (Mace & T-BAR) vs. Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley & Montel Vontavious Porter) vs. Jinder Mahal & Veer vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado) vs. Mansoor & Mustafa Ali vs. New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (WWE Raw Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Tag Team Turmoil Match)

Kingston and Ivar to start as New Day and Viking Raiders are our first teams out, naturally.

Xavier to the apron, enzuigiri to the viking, springboard tornado DDT staggers him, tag to Kingston! Superkick, crescent kick... NOPE! Woods back in, ducking and dodging, rolling elbow, off the ropes and trading strikes after the blind tag! Kingston gets caught on a trust fall senton and thrown into Woods as we go to break!

New Day eliminate Jinder Mahal & Veer by pinfall with Up Up, Down Down.

Lucha House Party are our fourth team.

Dorado in hot, uppercuts, Metalik tags in and does a splash off his shoulders! Lince back in, trading chops, planking on a nearfall, gamengiri from the apron, diving crossbody but he bounces off of Woods and Metalik comes in. Kofi tags in as well, Shadows Over Hell... NOPE! Back and forth, Lince with a nearfall off a moonsault, he nails Kingston with a dropkick, tag to Gran.

Stereo kicks, la casadora, off the ropes, Kofi trips Lince up...

New Day eliminate Lucha House Party by pinfall with a wheelbarrow facebuster from Xavier Woods on Gran Metalik.

Extinction are our fifth team, but we go to break before the match rolls on.

Back from commercial, Mace is clubbing Woods, he fights back with elbows and chops! Mace with a trapezius claw, Xavier with an enzuigiri, the big man throws him in the corner, back elbows, setting Woods up top. Goozle applied, tag to T-BAR, putting boots to Xavier. Quick tags, working him over, T-BAR goes after Kofi on the floor!

Argentine backbreaker, Feast Your Eyes countered...

New Day eliminate Extinction by pinfall with a folding press from Xavier Woods on T-BAR.

Mace and T-BAR go wild on New Day after being eliminated.

Mansoor and Mustafa Ali are our sixth team.

Ali hesitates before getting in the ring but Mansoor charges in and gets beaten down for his trouble! Mustafa relents and saves his pal but gets destroyed by Cyclone Kill! Extinction beat them up on the floor, laying Mansoor out with the steel steps! Back in the ring, they lawn dart Kingston into the steps!

Five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville arrive to restore order but Extinction ignore them and slam Woods into the post to send us to break!

Back from commercial, we get a recap of what we just saw, because Raw is three hours long. (Three hours long.)

The recap also includes Sonya Deville announcing that they’re going to give New Day and Mansoor and Ali time to regroup and continue the match later in the show.

Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus (WWE United States Championship #1 Contender’s Match)

McIntyre denies a handshake, collar and elbow, whip across, Sheamus passes him to the apron and catches him with a hard knee! Clubbing blows, the Beats of the Bodhran, Drew firing off back elbows and his own Beats of the Bodhran! McIntyre to the floor and the Celtic Warrior lays him out with a lariat! Back inside, Drew gets a spinebuster for a nearfall!

Jockeying for position in the turnbuckles, Sheamus with a superplex! Both men down and out and we go to break.

Back from commercial and brawling, McIntyre with a neckbreaker and the kip-up, belly-to-belly superplex... NOPE! Headbutt gets Sheamus to return the favor, cover for two! Alabama Slam, Sheamus mocks the countdown, Drew with a lariat, Future Shock... STILL NO! McIntyre fights out of a fireman’s carry, posts the Celtic Warrior and rolls him through into a double wristlock!

Sheamus reaching, desperate, and he gets the ropes! Back body drop to the apron, Drew snaps his arm over the top rope, nobody home on the dive and the Celtic Warrior clocks him with a knee... SO CLOSE! Cloverleaf reversed into a small package, McIntyre hits White Noise for two! Slugging it out on their knees, Drew rips the mask off and kicks Sheamus in the face!

Charging in, the Celtic Warrior catches him...

Sheamus wins by pinfall with a schoolboy pin and a handful of tights to become #1 contender to the WWE United States Championship.

Post-match, Drew grabs Sheamus’ mask and stares him down before clobbering him with it! Countdown... CLAYMORE!

Damian Priest is interviewed backstage.

He says he’s been in this business for a minute and he’s seen tons of matches and even more fights, and that match just now was a fight, and that’s why he likes squaring up with Drew and Sheamus. He’s gonna enjoy every second of his match against Sheamus at Extreme Rules, because he knows something he doesn’t— he’s got his number, and his night is going to end with him lying on his back in the middle of the ring.

Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley are interviewed in Gorilla.

Rhea says they both want to be champions and Nikki says she doesn’t think they should fly to any conclusions and yeah they don’t have a lot in common but they’re working on it, and they’re going to unleash super brutality.

They make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Charlotte Flair is interviewed backstage.

She says last week Nia Jax said she was going to splatter her all over the ring but clearly she didn’t finish the job, and she’ll do anything and everything to hold onto her title. Yes, Nia isn’t like most women, but she’s one of a kind, and Jax is gonna bow down and kiss the floor she walks on. Long live the Queen.

Natalya & Tamina vs. Nikki ASH & Rhea Ripley

Nikki and Tamina to start, collar and elbow, Snuka snaps her right to the mat! ASH trying to get away, Tamina on top of her but she slips under her arm and goes for a monkey flip! Snuka blocks, right hands in the corner, clubbing blows, fireman’s carry, Nikki goes for a sunset flip but can’t get it! She dodges the Banzai Drop, seated senton, tag to Ripley!

Rhea throws ASH into Snuka and boots her down! Natalya tags in, Nikki with a blind tag and Ripley swings her into Neidhart! Waistlock, into the corner, Nattie beating her down, Snuka pulls Rhea off the turnbuckles and lays her out to send us to break!

Back from commercial, champions in control on ASH, she breaks away, hot tag to Ripley! Short-arm lariats, ripcord headbutt staggers Natalya, snapmare, clear the apron, missile dropkick connects! Solebutt, bridging northern lights, only two! Nikki tags in, crossbody but Tamina breaks it up! Dropkick from Rhea, Nattie with a German suplex on her in return!

ASH up top, tornado DDT blocked, discus lariat, blind tag, pumphandle...

Nikki ASH & Rhea Ripley win by pinfall with Riptide from Ripley on Natalya.

We get a promo recorded earlier where John Morrison does a weird backstage edition of Moist TV featuring Karrion Kross.

Kross thanks him for being on the show and says he wants to make people’s worst dreams a reality, and he plans on making Morrison suffer. John tries to deflect him to going after one of the titles and Karrion says that’s a great idea but he wants to eliminate Morrison from existence first.

Karrion Kross makes his entrance.

Commentary sends us to break on a Connor’s Cure video.

John Morrison vs. Karrion Kross

Kross overpowering Morrison, hitting the Saito suplex and getting the Krossjacket but John falls into the ropes and forces the break. Drip Stick in hand, he squirts Karrion and gets dropped with a boot! Drawing him up, exploder suplex over the post and to the floor! Krossjacket applied...

Karrion Kross wins by submission with the Krossjacket.

Nia Jax is interviewed backstage.

She says everything Charlotte Flair said earlier was clearly a defense mechanism and she couldn’t handle being overpowered like she never had been before.

Charlotte makes her entrance and we go to break.

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Nia Jax (WWE Raw Women’s Championship)

We get a bell and Shayna Baszler gets on the mic.

She says she’s with Flair and doesn’t think her partner has what it takes to beat her twice in a row but she does. The real question is will Nia win the title or choke, and Charlotte attacks! Rough brawling, jawing at each other, Flair runs away and does a crotch chop! She grabs her title and goes to walk but Shayna gets in her face.

They jaw at each other until Jax drags her up, but Charlotte snaps her neck over the top rope! Back inside, she runs into a lariat, German suplex blocked with back elbows, she lands on her feet on the third try and chop blocks Nia! Up in the turnbuckles, jockeying for position, Flair slips out, Tenryu powerbomb for two!

Looking for the figure four, Jax shoves her off and to the floor to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Flair heads up top with Jax on the floor... MOONSAULT TO THE FLOOR! Baszler gets in Nia’s way in the aftermath, back inside, Jax with a headbutt, corner body avalanche, putting Charlotte up top, Shayna runs interference again...

Charlotte Flair wins by pinfall with avalanche Natural Selection to retain the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Post-match, Alexa Bliss appears on the tron and gets Flair’s attention.

Now that she’s done fighting she thinks it’s time for fun, so she and Lilly invite Charlotte and one of her fancy robes to join them on the playground. Flair says that’s cute but she doesn’t do cute and she’s not interested in Alexa’s mindgames and she’s definitely not coming to the playground.

Bliss says Lilly has a lot of pent-up energy and asks if she knows what it’s like to be cooped up with a maniac but of course she does because she’s a Flair. If she won’t come to them, they’ll just have to bring the playground to her.

The lights go down and a creepy music box plays.

When they come back up, Bliss and Lilly are in the ring next to Charlotte. Flair asks what she wants and Alexa points to the title! Charlotte asks if she wants a title match and agrees to it, but informs her that this isn’t Alexa’s playground, it’s hers.

We get a montage of our Reggie 24/7 Championship segments from the last couple weeks.

Reggie makes his entrance and we go to break.

Akira Tozawa vs. Reggie (c) (WWE 24/7 Championship)

Tozawa charging in with strikes, Reggie evades them and hits a dropkick! Solebutt, off the ropes, front flip guillotine leg drop! Charging in...

Reggie wins by pinfall with the front flip seated senton to retain the WWE 24/7 Championship.

R-Truth charges the ring, Reggie ducks and dodges him, the same fate befalls Cedric Alexander and Humberto Carrillo and then he takes out the rest of his would-be challengers with a single big dive! He turns around to see Drake Maverick on the stage and barely ducks a lariat from R-Truth!

Truth jaws at Drake and tells him he needs to go back home to his wife.

We get a recap of Doudrop beating Eva Marie down last week.

Doudrop is interviewed backstage.

She says Eva has a history of bailing on matches so she didn’t want to let her get into position to do it again. She’s not shocked that that talentless wench couldn’t make it to Raw, and she’s challenging her to a match on Raw next week. The Eva-lution turned out to be nothing but the Eva-delusion, so she’s ushering in a new era.

New Day make their entrance to send us to break.

AJ Styles & Omos vs. Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley & Montel Vontavious Porter) vs. Mansoor & Mustafa Ali vs. New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) (WWE Raw Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Tag Team Turmoil Match)

Back inside, cover gets one and Woods tags in. Mansoor and Mustafa working quick tags, Kingston slides in and takes Ali out with a superplex!

Mansoor with a nearfall off a schoolboy, referee Chad Patton backs him off to check on Woods but Ali yells at him to get on him and tags himself in! Kicks to Xavier, Kofi comes in, Mustafa cuts him off with a kick, 450 splash but nobody’s home, Trouble in Paradise! Woods up top...

New Day eliminate Mansoor & Mustafa Ali by pinfall with Limit Breaker from Xavier Woods on Ali.

AJ Styles and Omos are our next team and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Styles is working Woods over, hitting a backbreaker! The heat segment rolls on, quick tags, eventually Xavier gets himself together, big lariat and both he and AJ are down! Kingston tags in and dives right in only to be swatted out of midair by Omos to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Styles and Omos overwhelm Kingston...

AJ Styles & Omos eliminate New Day by pinfall with a Styles Clash from AJ on Kofi Kingston.

Hurt Business are our last team out.

Styles and Porter to start but MVP tags out and Lashley goes dominant, throwing AJ around! Styles gets a Pele kick off and limps to the corner for the tag! Omos in to face down the WWE Champion, test of strength, Bob throwing kicks when he can’t overpower the big man and then ramming him into the corner with shoulder thrusts!

Delayed vertical reversed and Omos hits a gourdbuster! Bob jawing with Orton at ringside and AJ takes them both out with a crossbody! Omos throws Riddle into the barricade! Styles takes MVP out with an enzuigiri, Omos biels Matt across the announce desk! Styles springboards, nobody home, Lashley is on him...

Hurt Business win, last eliminating AJ Styles & Omos by pinfall with a spear from Bobby Lashley on AJ Styles to become #1 contenders to the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.

Post-match, Omos lays Bob out with the chokebomb!

He helps AJ to the back, leaving Lashley gasping.

Orton slides in the ring... RKO!

That’s the show, folks.
