This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured Becky Lynch, the current SmackDown women’s champion, defending her actions at SummerSlam, where she became SmackDown women’s champion. Sure, she took advantage of Bianca Belair, the now former SmackDown women’s champion, but that’s on Bianca, not Becky!
No matter for Belair, who showed up to remind Lynch she’s already earned a rematch for that title on account of the fact she won an Fatal 4-way elimination match last week. Why not do it tonight?
Lynch refused, saying she would do it when she’s good and ready. Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville showed up to make that decision for her — she’ll be good and ready at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., Sept. 26, 2021, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
Oh, and the contract signing for that match will take place on next week’s episode of SmackDown.
As of right now, Lynch vs. Belair is the only match official for the show.
