Damian Priest was originally set to defend his United States championship against Sheamus in a straight up singles match at tonight’s (Sun., Sept. 26, 2021) WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. That changed when Jeff Hardy scored a win over Sheamus, earning himself entry into the bout and making it a triple threat.
A very important thing happened during the course of the match that I must alert you to immediately:

Oh yeah.
As far as triple threat matches go, this was a fantastic match, with Priest pinning Sheamus with a roll up just after he hit Hardy with a Brogue Kick. This came not long after Hardy nearly stole the title off a big knee from Sheamus on Priest.
After, the good guys showed respect and Hardy worked the gimmick alongside Priest.
