WWE Extreme Rules 2021 results: The Usos retain SmackDown tag team titles

Angelo Dawkins was at a wedding during Friday Night SmackDown this week, leaving Montez Ford alone to wrestle Universal Champion Roman Reigns and take a beatdown from The Usos. The Street Profits first shot at revenge came during their SmackDown tag team title match against Jimmy & Jey at tonight’s (Sun., Sept. 26, 2021) WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

They did not get it.

The story of the match revolved around Ford having injured ribs from the attack just days ago and Dawkins being good and pissed off about his partner getting jumped in his absence. Ford would take a prolonged beating, get Dawkins in for the hot tag to run wild, then sell his body out when he had to come back in, all in service of winning the titles.

Like this madness:

Ford pushed harder and harder, but it ultimately didn’t matter. He was eventually overwhelmed.

Jimmy & Jey hit a double superkick, then a double splash to pin Ford to retain the titles.

Is it time to move on to feuding with Otis & Chad Gable like they’ve teased?
