During this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Seth Rollins cut a promo demanding that Edge show up to next week’s show to answer his challenge for a third and final match between the two. If he didn’t, according to Rollins, there would be a confrontation at his home address.
There will be no need for all that, as it turns out:
Edge beat Rollins at SummerSlam late last month in their first meeting in Las Vegas, then Rollins won the rematch at Madison Square Garden in New York City just a couple weeks later. That match ended with Edge being taken out on a stretcher, the future of his career seemingly in question after Rollins hit a Stomp to end the match.
You know, bad neck and all.
Edge being back next week seems to indicate he’s doing just fine and we will indeed be getting that third and final match. Perhaps they’ll do their dance in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel next month?
