It’s been over a month now since Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews to win the Intercontinental championship on Friday Night SmackDown. The blue brand got awfully busy just after that show, with big names coming and going, and Crews sort of got lost in the shuffle.
He returned to make clear he wanted a shot to win the title back and he got that on this week’s episode.
And lost again.
Commander Azeez attempted to help Crews get his title back but King Nakamura has Rick BOOGS and his trusty guitar (at one point in the match, he played said guitar to hype Nakamura up for a comeback) in his back pocket:

BOOGS gets more and more impressive by the week.
That was enough to keep the scales from tipping in the rulebreaker’s direction and Nakamura pinned Crews to retain the Intercontinental championship.
