Nikki A.S.H. & Rhea Ripley win WWE women’s tag team titles

When Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. came out and did a promo for the V Foundation and Connor’s Cure and pledged WWE would continue the fight against childhood cancer during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, it seemed clear they would be winning the women’s tag team titles right after.

Sure enough, they did.

Rhea and Nikki defeated Natalya and Tamina after a short match, with Nikki pinning Nattie via rollup. This begins their first reign as women’s tag team champions. The latter had been champions dating back to May 14.

There may or may not be a rematch on the cards — this is WWE, after all — but there’s one team who is already making it known they’re interested in what happened here:

Shotzi & Tegan Nox had defeated Natalya & Tamina in non-title matches multiple times before this happened. One would think they’re top contenders.
