Rick Boogs remained undefeated on SmackDown last night (Sept. 17), but the denim-clad rock god’s win streak wasn’t the big story coming out of his match.
That’s because Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez busted up Boogs post-match dance party with Pat McAfee and King Nakamura. It produced a McAfee ad-lib that popped my main man Geno Mrosko*...

... and it also set up an Intercontinental title match for next week.
Crews got on the microphone after his & Azeez’s assault. He claimed that Nakamura has made a mockery of the IC belt since beating him for it last month, and he wants his rematch. He’s getting it next Friday.

That show - the last before Extreme Rules on Sept. 26 - will also feature a Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega bout that serves as prelude to the Morgan/Carmella match that was added to the PPV on yesterday’s SmackDown.
Do you think the King’s reign will end next week? Will we still get jam sessions with Boogs and Pat Mac even if he doesn’t have a belt?
* My favorite Pat moment from last night was his reunion with Bum Ass Happy Corbin, which included the beautiful backhand, “You’ve gotta be an incredibly arrogant human to have that mustache on your face.”
