This week’s episode of NXT was all about showing off a new look and feel for the program, and that meant bringing a lot of fresh new faces into the fold. This includes but was not limited to:
- Bron Breakker, who formerly went by Rex Steiner. He’s got the same look and style of his father, Rick Steiner, and quickly scored a win over LA Knight
- Trick Williams, who has aligned himself with Carmelo Hayes and is not just “bout it” but rather “bout it bout it”
- Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, a couple of big hosses who lost to Imperium
- Tony D’Angelo, whose family is in waste management in Chicago but there’s no money in that, so he’s coming to NXT. I guess there’s more money there?
- Ivy Nile, who hasn’t had a carb since 2005 and is the newest member of The Diamond Mine. She starred on NBC’s Titan Games and looks like she’s been carved out of granite
- Von Wagner, who found his way into the Fatal 4-Way for the NXT championship when he came to the aid of Kyle O’Reilly following an attack backstage
It’s too early to tell on any of these folks, but it looks clear NXT is going to be a mix of veterans anchoring a lot of up-and-coming, previously unknown talent.
