Most of the news about Triple H’s promotion has been doom and gloom over the last couple of days. But NXT isn’t dead yet!
They have a big show coming up SummerSlam weekend, and they’re moving full speed ahead toward putting together another loaded card for Sun., Aug. 22’s TakeOver 36. The match they announced this afternoon isn’t surprising, but that means it’s been a long time coming. The Women’s title feud between Raquel González and Dakota Kai only started in earnest a few weeks ago when Kai turned on González. But fans have been anticipating it since Big Mami Cool won the belt back at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
Now it’s official.
BREAKING: @RaquelWWE will battle @DakotaKai_WWE for the #NXTWomensTitle at #NXTTakeOver 36 on August 22 at 8 ET/5 PT!

The card for TakeOver 36 now looks like this:
- Karrion Kross (c) vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT championship
- Ilja Dragunov vs. WALTER (c) for the NXT UK title
- Raquel González vs. Dakota Kai for the NXT Women’s championship
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly will also likely be added tomorrow night when the two face-off in a William Regal-moderated segment.
