Edge is giving Seth Rollins some depth

You know, this Seth Rollins character has been needing some depth and Edge just may have given that to use on Friday Night SmackDown this week. Sure, we’re still getting the smarmy douche bag with that annoying cackle of a laugh, but there always needed to be something beneath the surface there.

In recent times, he’s had the god complex, but that’s not nearly as interesting as what Edge rooted out this week — that Rollins’ laughter is hiding his insecurity. That ridiculous smile is a mask.

Underneath that mask is fear. Uncertainty. Doubt. Maybe, as Edge pointed out, he really is trying to walk in Edge’s footsteps but he can’t fill them. He hates Edge because he IS Edge, only he’s an inferior version.

What’s beautiful about this is there is one extremely effective way to settle this, for Edge to prove himself correct and for Rollins to break through all that.
