You knew this was coming.
Seth Rollins cost Edge the Universal championship in his match with Roman Reigns, opening the door for the two of them to have their first one-on-one match against each other. Now we know exactly when that match will happen.
As the two announced on Friday Night SmackDown this week, they will settle things up at SummerSlam on Sat., Aug. 21, 2021, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They’ve been slowly building out the story, making it about more than Rollins costing Edge the title. Instead, they’ve honed in on Rollins not going after Edge during a 2014 segment on Monday Night Raw. Then, just this week, Edge fanned the flames by calling Rollins “Edge-lite.”
This should be good.
