Everything that applied to NXT’s July 27 ratings applied to their Aug. 3 numbers: pre-taped show, moved off its usual home on USA to SyFy by the Olympics, competing against multiple NBCUniversals’ outlets of the Tokyo Games.
If anything, WWE might have hoped that follow-up to some big angles last Tuesday, like announcing Samoa Joe’s return or Dakota Kai turning on Raquel González, would have drawn in more viewers to this week’s show.
But it was second verse, same or worse than the first.
According to PW Torch, the audience number was an identical 520K for their second SyFy show- 520K. The 18 - 49 year old demo rating was .10, down 17% from July 27.
We’ll find out what they look like when they’re live on USA after the Olympics next Tuesday.
Here’s a look at the black-and-gold brand’s viewership and 18 - 49 year old demo rating since they moved to Tuesdays after WrestleMania 37.
