WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR AUG. 30
Always pulling faces from the unprepossessing places of the universal mind, I’m crippled by the world when we are divided but for now I have to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with commentary welcoming us to the show.
Damian Priest makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He welcomes us to the show and talks about winning the United States Championship at SummerSlam. He says he’s going to wear the title with the honor and respect it deserves, to honor the men who went before him, like Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, and John Cena. He calls Bobby Lashley out and says he showed everybody what kind of champion he is when he ran away like a coward last week.
Priest pledges that won’t be him and asks who’s gonna answer his challenge.
Of course, it’s Sheamus.
He gets on the mic and agrees with him that Lashley is a gobshite who runs away from fights, and he’s happy to see Damian offering up open challenges, even if these people don’t deserve it. He says he’s going to wipe the smile off Damian’s face and take back his gold, but before we can get a referee down—
Enter Drew McIntyre.
He says as much as he’d like to see Damian beat Sheamus’ ass for the hundredth time, he thinks the WWE Universe deserves something new, and the United States Championship is the one title he’s never won. Drew and Sheamus bicker—
Enter Bobby Lashley, flanked by Montel Vontavious Porter as always.
MVP asks the crowd to hold their applause and says Bob wanted to hold an open challenge every single week, the problem is the All Mighty has beaten everyone on the roster already so there’s no point to having an open challenge. But in Priest’s case, it’s admirable but not necessarily good for business. But what is good for business is Lashley wrestling Priest to become double champion.
Enter RK-Bro.
Randy Orton says he thinks everything MVP just said sucks, and Matt Riddle agrees and points out that it doesn’t suck like a Roomba, which is supposed to suck. Randy calls Lashley a greedy son of a bitch who wants something he can’t have. Bob says his second title doesn’t have to be the US belt, he’d be happy to claim a tag title from RK-Bro, and Riddle accidentally challenges Porter and Lashley to a title match, which they accept.
Enter five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville.
They see two big main events ahead of them. Priest will defend the title in a three-way, and the Hurt Business will challenge for the tag titles!
Enter Rhea Ripley?
She has a match, after the break.
Back from commercial, Rhea Ripley gets on the mic and introduces Nikki ASH, who will be seconding her tonight.
Rhea Ripley vs. Shayna Baszler
Nia Jax gets on the mic early and threatens to crush everyone, more or less (technical difficulties over here, I couldn’t type while she was talking.)
Mat grappling early, Baszler wants a double wristlock, shifts to a top wristlock and traps the arm before stomping the bicep, but Rhea blocks and Shayna hits a low-angle enzuigiri for her trouble! Back suplex lift blocked, Penalty Kick the arm, grounding her with strikes, cradle for two! Pressing the attack on the leg, Baszler comes back by targeting the arm, trapping her hand under the apron and stomping to send us to break!

Ripley asks for more and catches a kick, duck a lariat, short-arm lariats over her own into a ripcord headbutt! Solebutt, bridging northern lights... NOPE! Viking Raiders cut a promo where they say that the WWE Universe will bear witness to their true nature and the brutality they inflict on their opponents. The raid is on!
They make their entrance and we go to break.
Jinder Mahal & Veer vs. Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar)
Ivar and Veer to start, the Vikings quickly pulling ahead into an advantage, working the big Indian over. Eventually Mahal tags in and turns the tide, working Warbeard over. Erik gets the tag, clears the apron, Jinder cuts him off, whip to the corner, up and over, shotgun knees connect! Dumping the heels to the floor, Vikings tag and Ivar freight trains them both with a cannonball off the apron!
Mahal recovers quickly and trips Erik up, back inside, Warbeard ducks the lariat, blind tag, Erik pops him up...

We get another 24/7 Championship video package of Reggie fending off challengers in a park. R-Truth has a man in a dog costume and a frisbee and Reginald flips over them and runs away through a jungle gym shaped like a spider that scares Truth because he’s an arachnophobe. They end up on a bridge, Reggie evades them with some leaps, the dog turns out to be Akira Tozawa, and that’s that.
Eva Marie makes her entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Doudrop attacks before the bell and lays Eva Marie out with a slam and hits a senton to follow! Off the ropes, freight train crossbody, she counts her own pin! Jawing, collar and elbow, Nia uses her strength to get an advantage and hammers her in the corner with a body avalanche. Looking for a hip attack, Charlotte sidesteps and lays a few kicks in.
