This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown ended with Finn Balor making it known to Roman Reigns that he was coming for the Universal championship he was supposed to be getting a shot at before that darn John Cena got to meddling in his business. With Cena out of the picture now, Balor is in a hurry to get what he deserves before Brock Lesnar, Edge, Seth Rollins, or whoever the hell else might get in the way.
To that end, he challenged Reigns to a match for next week’s episode of SmackDown. Before it went official, the show went off the air. However, WWE has since confirmed it will indeed be happening.
Here’s Balor appearing on Talking Smack this week to talk about it:
“I knew what I was walking into tonight. I knew I was walking into the Lion’s Den. I knew I was going to get a couple licks but I made sure that I got the first. And now I got what I came back to SmackDown for — a Universal championship (match). So Roman Reigns, I’ll see you next week.”
