Naomi is officially on the SmackDown roster

About a month ago, rumors popped up that Naomi had been moved over from Monday Night Raw to Friday Night SmackDown. It was a move that made a lot of sense, as the blue brand has been in need of a deeper women’s division and there was nothing going for her on the red brand, especially after WWE released Lana, whom she had been working with in a tag team.

When she lost at Money in the Bank, a brief break was in order. WWE worked through SummerSlam and now she’s arrived on SmackDown:

Sonya Deville made like she wasn’t even aware this was going to be a thing and therefore wasn’t ready to do anything with her. She will be getting a match on next week’s episode of SmackDown.

She’s shown up at a good time. Becky Lynch is back and the new champion while Bianca Belair is chasing the title she just lost. Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Carmella, Toni Storm, Tegan Nox, and Shotzi are also all in the mix. A division that was awfully shallow just a couple months ago is looking deeper and deeper all the time.
