Then, a commercial for it aired during this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX. WWE President Nick Khan recently made clear the developmental arm of WWE would be undergoing a rebrand to look less like an indie promotion and more like, well, a developmental arm for WWE. There are quite a few changes expected and one of the big mentions was how dark and aesthetically unpleasing NXT has looked in recent memory.
Not anymore!
It’s an interesting look so far but we’ll likely have to wait a few more weeks before we see a major change, as NXT has taped programming to cycle through before the big update. But we know it’s coming and it’s going to look like a brand new program. We’ll see what that means for many of the top stars we’ve known and loved over the past couple years.
