Interruptions waiting to happen, tag match booked for SmackDown

For SmackDown tonight (Aug. 27) on FOX, WWE teased appearances by both of SummerSlam’s surprise returnees.

When they got around to announcing a few things for the card this afternoon, they confirmed the presence of new Women’s champion Becky Lynch. The promotion hints at the heel turn we’ve been hearing so much about, and gives an easy way for Bianca Belair to confront The Man... hopefully getting a big pop from the Arkansas crowd in the process.

After Becky Lynch’s return at SummerSlam to utilize what some would characterize as underhanded tactics to overcome Bianca Belair and once again lay claim to the SmackDown Women’s Championship, The Man is coming around to SmackDown!

Brock Lesnar isn’t promised for SmackDown, but he’s mentioned in the hype for Roman Reigns’ Championship Celebration, which doesn’t guarantee Lesnar will appear - but makes it seem likely.

We’ll also be getting tag match pitting Intercontinental champ Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs against the Dirty Dawgs. That sounds fine, but it’s just not going to be the same without Pat McAfee there...
