Riding the buzz from a new champ and a match of the year candidate at Sunday’s TakeOver 36, NXT saw its numbers rise last night (Aug. 24).
The pre-taped episode was watched by 685,000 people, according to Showbuzz Daily. That’s roughly a 5% increase over Aug. 17’s show. The .16 rating in the 18 - 49 year old demographic was also up from the week prior. The black-and-gold brand was the 27th highest rated cable original in the key demo this Tuesday.
Hard to know what, if anything, to read into this result. It’s towards the upper end of their viewership range over the past few months, and smack dab in the middle of where the rating’s been.
Trending up is always better than the alternative. We’ll see if they can moving in that direction next week.
Here’s a look at the black-and-gold brand’s viewership and 18 - 49 year old demo rating since they moved to Tuesdays after WrestleMania 37.
