SummerSlam’s two big surprise returns weren’t booked for Raw on Mon., Aug 23, but fans were still intrigued enough by everything else that happened the Saturday before in Las Vegas. Or maybe it was Logan Paul.
This week’s Raw was watched by an average of 2.067 million people over its three hours. That’s a 10% increase over the week before, and the best number since January. Ratings were up even more, seeing a 16% jump to .64 in the 18 - 49 year old demographic. The .41 among 18 - 34 year olds was also impressive.
Raw’s strong demo numbers put USA in second place among cable originals on the night, finishing only behind ESPN’s pre-season NFL game.
Hourly holds continued to be strong.
Hour One: 2.152 million viewers
Hour Two: 2.094 million viewers
Hour Three: 1.956 million viewers
WWE will look to keep the momentum going on Aug. 30. They’ve already announced three matches (The Miz vs. John Morrison, Doudrop vs. Eva Marie, and Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus) for next Monday’s show.
