WWE SummerSlam 2021 results: What was ‘Match of the Night’ in Las Vegas?

WWE has officially put a bow tie around its SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The promotion wrapped up the show tonight (Sat., Aug. 21, 2021) with Roman Reigns thoroughly putting John Cena away to retain the Universal championship.

Was it the best match on the card?

The show also featured Bobby Lashley retaining the WWE championship over Goldberg via referee stoppage, Charlotte Flair tapping out Nikki A.S.H. to regain the Raw women’s championship, Edge taking care of business against Seth Rollins to exorcise that demon, Damian Priest putting Sheamus away to win his first main roster title with the United States championship, Becky Lynch returning for a 20 second match to win the SmackDown women’s title from Bianca Belair, and so much more.
