WWE SummerSlam 2021 results: Charlotte Flair wins the Raw women’s title back

One of the marquee match-ups at tonight’s (Sat., Aug. 21, 2021) WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, featured Nikki A.S.H. putting the Raw women’s championship on the line against both Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley.

There was at least some intrigue coming in, notably over just how much Vince McMahon believes in this “Almost Super Hero” character Nikki is playing. She was given a weeks long run with the title to impress.

This may or may not indicate it wasn’t enough.

Or, Charlotte is just unstoppable on PPV.

Indeed, after a back-and-forth that saw some near falls for everywhere, it was Flair who used the Figure Eight first on Ripley, only to have it broken up the champ, and then on Nikki, who fought like hell to get to the ropes — which wouldn’t have mattered in a triple threat — but was forced to submit.

The crowd, by the way, popped for the tap. Yes, the heel was loudly cheered for submitting the character that only works as a babyface.

That’s WWE for ya.
