Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair were pulled from their advertised appearances on last weekend’s WWE house shows. The reason cited was “unforeseen circumstances”, and WWE officials and fans understandably became concerned about both their health and the status of their SmackDown Women’s title match at SummerSlam.
We still don’t know anything about why the two wrestlers were held off the untelevised events in Charlotte, North Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday & Sunday. But sources tell PWInsider that, whatever was going on, it won’t keep them from this Saturday’s PPV in Las Vegas - or the go home edition of SmackDown the night before in Phoenix.
Banks & Belair are said to be “cleared” to perform, and barring something “unforeseen” (there’s that’s word again) will be on our screens Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.
Their SummerSlam showdown will be a rematch of their widely praised and award-winning encounter in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night One.
You can resume getting hyped for it again.
