Shinsuke Nakamura wins the Intercontinental championship

Surprise!

Shinsuke Nakamura, after taking King Corbin’s crown and reducing him to Bum Ass Baron, moved right along to a program with Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews, who had new life breathed into his career when he embraced his history and paired up with Commander Azeez. Their paths led them to a match for the title on Friday Night SmackDown this week.

You read the title, you already know who won.

Nakamura had Rick BOOGS out there with him, and he tried to assist to ensure Azeez wasn’t cheating in favor of Crews. He did anyway, of course, and the referee ultimately threw them both out.

The result was a fair fight, and Nakamura used the Kinsasha to come out on top.

We’re just over one week out from SummerSlam on Aug. 21, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada, so don’t be surprised if they book a rematch for the bigger show.
