Priest will dry himself off for U.S. title match at SummerSlam

WWE.com

When he’s not fiddling around with The Miz & John Morrison’s drip sticks, Damian Priest has been set-up as the next challenger for Sheamus’ United States title.

On July 26, he beat the champ in a non-title match, which are now known as “Championship Contender Match” (not to be confused with AEW’s “Title Eliminator Match”). Then last night (Aug. 9) he called out the Celtic Warrior after beating Morrison.

Sheamus accepted Priest’s challenge, then watched him Brogue Kick The Moist Man. WWE announced a SummerSlam clash soon thereafter.

The announced card for Sat., Aug. 21 in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium now looks like this:

- Roman Reigns (c) vs. John Cena for the Universal championship

- Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley (c) for the WWE title

- Rhea Ripley vs. Nikki A.S.H. (c) vs. Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s championship

- Bianca Belair (c) vs. Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s title

- The Mysterios vs. The Usos (c) for the SmackDown Tag Team championship

- Edge vs. Seth Rollins
