Three more wrestlers set for Money in the Bank ladder matches

@WWE

WWE used this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown to determine the final two wrestlers in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and one more wrestler in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, both scheduled for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sun., July 18, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas.

On the men’s side, Baron Corbin’s no good very bad life only got worse when Shinsuke Nakamura first showed up in his previously repossessed vehicle and then beat him clean in the center of the ring to book his spot in the match. This while Big E was sitting ringside with Pat McAfee soaking his feet and dancing along to BOOGS playing the theme song.

Tough times.

Later, Seth Rollins and Cesaro had one hell of a back-and-forth battle with Kevin Owens out for commentary, just to make sure everyone interacted with everyone else. This time out, Rollins managed to bloody Cesaro, and ultimately win via pinfall after a Curb Stomp to complete the field.

On the women’s side, Liv Morgan was announced as a replacement for Carmella, who herself was announced as a replacement for the injured Bayley in a SmackDown women’s title match that has been moved from Money in the Bank to next week’s episode of SmackDown. They didn’t announce anyone else, however, leaving two spots still open in the match.

That means the men’s field looks like this:

  • John Morrison
  • Ricochet
  • Riddle
  • Drew McIntyre
  • Big E
  • Kevin Owens
  • Shinsuke Nakamura
  • Seth Rollins

The women’s field looks like this:

  • Alexa Bliss
  • Asuka
  • Naomi
  • Nikki ASH
  • Zelina Vega
  • Liv Morgan
